Other than essential workers, most gamers are stuck at home right now due to social distancing. For those gamers, now is a great time to revisit some older games they may have missed the first time around. For those looking to do so, Square Enix, the studio behind the massively popular Final Fantasy 7 remake, has released a bundle of its older games on Steam.
The bundle is called the Square Enix Eidos Anthology, and is the latest installment in the ‘Stay Home and Play’ bundles. It will be available for purchase from now until May 11, including over 50 games from some of the biggest franchises in gaming, like Tomb Raider, Hitman, Just Cause, and Deus Ex. T here are also some cult favorites, like the well-received Life Is Strange.
Buying all of the games in the bundle individually would normally cost $745.13, but right now, the bundle can be purchased for $39.24, which is less than the price of one new AAA release. Gamers looking for an even better deal can check out the list of games that GOG is giving out for free.
Players who buy the bundle can rest assured that their money is going to a good place. According to Square Enix “A full 100% of the Square Enix revenue from these bundles will be distributed to charities across North America and Europe, including food banks and more.” Square Enix has been praised for knocking it out of the park on the Switch, and now it’s knocking it out of the park for charity as well.
