Despite the global pandemic continuing to affect daily life, the figurine market is still in full effect to strain wallets. Where Funko Pops and Nendoroids dominate desk space with new models, the high-end and detailed figures are also still getting significant care.

Square Enix unveiled two brand new figurines based on ones of its most significant releases. The publisher revealed Final Fantasy 11 figurines which feature Shantotto and an adorable Chocobo to coincide with news about the forthcoming update to the 2002 MMORPG. This follows Square Enix’s continued push for higher end figurines for collectors, although the Shantotto and Chocobo combo won’t cost anywhere near as much as the recently revealed Nier: Automata statue.

The solo Chocobo model will set buyers back around $125 but does allow for many adorable posing options. The Shantotto and Chocobo combo set costs a bit more at $158 but does provide numerous accessories for Final Fantasy 11’s most recognizable character. The figurines comes from the Bring Arts line known for its high quality and affordable figurines that run the gambit of Square Enix titles. The last notable Bring Arts collection was for Final Fantasy 9 which introduced two of the most endearing characters in the entire Final Fantasy franchise as figurines.

Despite the first Final Fantasy MMO nearing its 20h anniversary, Final Fantasy 11 continues to get updates with its most recent being brand new story content. While Square Enix has never been opposed to new figurines based on legacy properties, the Shantotto and Chocobo set does fit nicely for the players returning to the beloved MMO.

Final Fantasy 11 is available for PC.
