Thanks to the upcoming release of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, everyone’s favorite square sponge has never looked better in the world of video games. He’s also never sounded better, at least judging from a new trailer showcasing the game’s localization options.
The trailer kicks off with SpongeBob’s iconic mantra of, “I’m ready,” being recited in multiple languages before showing off a clip of SpongeBob and the crew of Squidward, Patrick, and Sandy seeing the massive mechanical karate version of SpongeBob.
The clip begins with the characters speaking English, featuring the original voice actors of Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), and Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), before switching up to the other languages that will be available in the game. The additional languages featured in the trailer include German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and Japanese.
It’s not uncommon for games to be localized for a global audience, but rarely do we get an entire trailer dedicated to showing off the languages.
SpongeBob fans around the world will be able to enjoy Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated when it releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 23rd.
