Get ready to embrace your inner spellcaster as SpellPunk VR makes its way to Steam and Viveport. Incineration Productions has been hard at work on the virtual reality PC title that features intense spellcasting battles.
Players become mighty magicians in breathtaking surreal environments with a vibrant comic book aesthetic and music straight out of the 1980s. In SpellPunk VR, you become a full-body avatar who duels in fast-paced battle. There is no spell book or magic words to invoke, instead players must use the VR tools to correctly draw spells in the air with their hands while opposing players do the same in the three leveled game modes.
When casting a spell, players will have the option of casting one-handed spells or opting for more powerful incantations by combining spells with two hands. Certain spells can be strung together for a powerful show of wizardry.
To succeed, players will need to learn how to cast spells for offense, defense, and healing if they hope to emerge victorious.
As the game enters Early Access and continues to see development, there will be ongoing improvements to nearly every part of the game. Players will be able to dive into the game on April 24 for $16.99.
