Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service is quickly becoming an excellent way for fighting game fans to stay in the loop. Starting today, Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur VI is available to subscribers of the Netflix-like subscription service on Xbox One. It’s a bit of a bummer that the PC port isn’t included, but this addition is welcomed for those that may be looking to break into the fighting game community.

Alongside the tale of swords and souls eternally retold, Fallout 76 will be added to both PC and Xbox One on July 9. Sadly, cross-play isn’t yet supported for the MMO-lite RPG/shooter, but its inclusion is an excellent way for fans to figure out if they should invest time in the game. The reception has come around since its initial launch in 2018, and it seems the Game Pass version will come with the Wastelanders update in tow.

Finally, the last two additions are Out of the Park Baseball 21 on PC and CrossCode for Xbox One. Those two games will be available on July 9 and July 1, respectively. CrossCode, in particular, looks very interesting.

With new additions comes a list of games leaving this month. There are not as many leaving with previous months, but there are still quite a few good titles that will be making their exit.

  • Blazing Chrome (Xbox One and PC) Dead Rising 4 (Xbox One and PC) Metal Gear Solid V (Xbox One) Timespinner (PC) Unavowed (PC) Undertale (PC)

The new additions may not be the most glamorous of titles, but Soulcalibur VI is great. With both it and Tekken 7 on Game Pass, you’d be crazy to pass up giving them a shot. Both games are extremely solid updates to their respective series that have done a lot to keep the franchises in the limelight.

It’s also a good way to figure out if you want to invest in any DLC. It’s a bummer that you won’t have immediate access to characters like 2B and Haohmaru, but Game Pass gives you a pretty solid discount on additional content. With no entry fee for the base game, that’s not such a bad thing.
