The Last of Us 2 is now only a month away from release, and as expected, Sony will be releasing a limited edition PS4 Pro bundle that will launch alongside the game. This limited-edition bundle will include the game, a PS4 Pro, and a DualShock 4 controller sporting a unique The Last of Us 2 design, a digital voucher for a dynamic theme, a slew of avatars, and many more.

The limited-edition PS4 Pro sports a matte finish and is engraved with Ellie’s tattoo that can be found on top of the console. Additionally, the title, “The Last of Us Part II”, can be seen in the front part of the PS4 Pro, just under the Sony logo. The included DualShock 4 controller has a similar design with the tattoo placed on the left-hand side, while the game’s title can be seen on the DualShock 4’s touchpad. The price of the PS4 Bundle will cost players $400, while the controller is available to pre-order separately for $65.

In the official announcement, John Sweeney, who works as an Art Director at Naughty Dog, revealed that he and the team’s graphic designer considered many designs to put on the PS4 Pro, but they kept coming back to Ellie’s tattoo. Sweeney explained that the tattoo will serve as an integral symbol in The Last of Us 2, similar to the Firefly symbol in the first game. Apart from the PS4 Pro and the DualShock 4, other accessories such as the Gold Wireless Headset and the Seagate 2TB Hard Drive will also feature Ellie’s tattoo.

Of course, it is without a doubt that The Last of Us 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. Unfortunately, due to development issues, Naughty Dog was forced to delay the game several times before postponing it again due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, it appears that The Last of Us 2 will release as scheduled on June 19.

Earlier this month, Naughty Dog released a brand new story trailer for The Last of Us 2, which focused on the game’s story and highlighted the relationship between Joel and Ellie. As expected from previous trailers, the new story preview remained vague, giving players just enough hints on what to expect in the upcoming game. However, the only thing that was made clear in the latest preview is that Ellie is on a mission to seek revenge, and it is obvious that she will not be forgiving towards her enemies.

The Last of Us 2 is set to release on June 19, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
