Even a year on from its unveiling the Sony Bravia KDL-55HX853 still proves its worth. Great picture quality and uniformity from this edge-LED LCD set that’s only really let down by slow Sony Entertainment Network access and that slanted design which won’t suit all. The price has fallen since launch, but the HX853’s quality hasn’t; a sublime balance of performance and quality that’s well worth a look if you’re after a big screen treat.
