It’s no secret Animal Crossing fans are among the most creative. They’ve been etching characters into their Island maps and even recreating towns from other games. But now, one highly ambitious fan has taken their creativity a step further, designing an entire shelving unit modeled after the special edition Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch.
Weibo user Chopin-Cc, with the help of their father, built an entire tv mount and side shelving replicating a gigantic New Horizons edition Nintendo Switch. They’re calling it the Nintendo Switch Max and boy does it look nooktastic!
They started with a simple wooden frame, fashioning the shallow shelving into joy-cons, four tiers high. The shelves are suited to store Nintendo Switch game cases, about three (front-facing) cases deep and two wide, along with plenty of other accessories for the console.
Then came the fastenings for the button decals. The buttons themselves were fashioned out of plastic, and the joysticks sculpted out of wood. The next step was the phenomenally executed paint job, which matches the New Horizons theme perfectly.
Once assembled and mounted around the flatscreen tv, this masterpiece shown through as a true work of art. The execution of this project was so exquisitely well done. When the real system is booted up and streaming to the tv, it’s easy to forget you’re looking at a tv at all.
