Since Call of Duty: Warzone updated with Season 4 content, fans of the game have been able to try the new Rumble game mode. However, many players have taken to Reddit to share their frustrations with the game mode and advocate for the return of the game mode Rumble replaced.
With Call of Duty’s Season 4 update came a lot of new additions to the franchise. Alongside features like in-match events in Call of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward introduced the new Rumble mode to the game. However, the game mode did not receive the reception that the developer was looking for upon its release.
When Rumble Mode was introduced to Warzone, it also replaced the popular game mode Plunder, which started the game mode off on the wrong foot with fans from the very beginning. However, Reddit users also have complaints about Rumble itself. Many have complained that the game mode produces sniper camps which take out players soon after they respawn, which makes the mode hard for fans to enjoy if they can’t actually play the game. Not only that, but the maps in Rumble mode are smaller than other modes, which means that snipers can target more of the map from a single position.
Not all fans dislike the new game mode on the Reddit discussion threads. Some have brought up that free players can use the game mode to level up Call of Duty weapons or unlock camos, but while Reddit players say that Rumble mode is the best free players have access to, that does not been that it is good. While Infinity Ward hasn’t commented on fans’ reactions to the Rumble game mode, one of the members of the game developer’s team confirmed that Plunder would be returning to Warzone, though he did not give a specific date that the game mode would be reintroduced.
Call of Duty’s Season 4 introduced a lot of new content to both Modern Warfare and Warzone, and while some Call of Duty fans don’t like the update’s changes, Infinity Ward can use these responses and feedback when it creates future updates for the franchise.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
