If mythology and MOBAs are your thing, then Smite might be just the game for you. You can take control of the Greek pantheon, the ancient Egyptian Gods, and even horrors like Cthulhu. Speaking of Lovecraftian horrors, Hi-Rez Studios has announced a Stranger Things limited time event coming to the game.

The Smite Twitter handle revealed that some of the show’s biggest stars will be making an appearance in the game as cosmetics for existing characters. Scylla will receive two skins, classic Eleven, and one featuring her Starcourt outfit from the latest season. Apollo will be the canvas for Hopper’s police department skin, as well as his P.I. hula shirt avatar.

But it’s not just the heroes who’ll be coming to the game. The Demogorgon will make an appearance as a skin for Bakasura, and Sylvanus will receive a Mind Flayer cosmetic. It also seems that the arena will get a makeover to make it more in tune with the show’s Upside Down dimension.

Hi-Rez also mentions that additional details for the crossover will be revealed at Summer Game Fest later today. “Something is coming… Something that’s hungry for blood!” says the tweet, “Make sure to tune in to #SummerGameFest tomorrow at 2pm ET for all the details, plus more info to come as part of #GeekedWeek”.

The developer has been a bit more free-handed with its latest collaborations. While Smite is intended to be a MOBA pitting Gods from various pantheons against each other, the inclusion of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles late last year was a bit out of the ordinary. A Leonardo skin for Osiris, Raphael skin for Loki, Michelangelo skin for Mercury, and Donatello skin for Sun Wukong could be earned via the battle pass.

Before that, the game collaborated with popular anime, Avatar: The Last Airbender for a battle pass. Players could unlock Aang Merlin and Avatar Aang Merlin (prestige track), Zuko Susano and Blue Spirit Susano (prestige), and Korra Skadi along with Avatar Korra Skadi.

It’s anyone’s guess what other details we’ll see at the Summer Game Fest reveal. Perhaps we’ll get a few more skins. I for one would like to see a Steve Harrington skin, along with his modded baseball bat of course.
