SMITE is now available for purchase on the Epic Games Store, giving players yet another avenue to enjoy the free MOBA game which pits Gods and Goddesses against each other in battle. This development is important for both long time fans and newbies to the game.
One of SMITE’s main priorities is and always has been the concepts of cross-play and cross-progress. This means that progress is linked to the player’s account and will be maintained no matter what system or store they decide to play through. And then, of course, cross-play allows people on different systems to play together.
For those that haven’t checked SMITE out, it is well worth the time. This game is completely free to play, although there are purchases that can be made in-game, and even premium characters can be unlocked with in-game currency should the player put enough time and effort into doing so.
The inclusion of SMITE on yet another platform is great news for the game, as it should expand its reach to yet more gamers. Hi-Rez Studios, the creator of SMITE, also updates the game regularly, adding new pantheons, gods, skins, and even pulling a humorous April Fools’ Day joke this year.
