After years of its release, Skyrim stills manages to hook new players. There is a healthy community that keeps putting out new mods, which keep it fresh and everlasting.  The strange world of Skyrim attracts everyone and even great for making memes.

The lore of Skyrim is intensely deep, . While it is expected that many loose ends will be covered in The Elder Scrolls: VI. Still, many things were never explained and a lot of the fans have created detailed theories, that weight them. Here are some of them

10 MAKES NO SENSE: No One Praises You For Killing Alduin

This has been raised countless times in every Skyrim forum. Maybe it is because the fight was held in Sovngarde and not the living world. It could be that all the humans are too busy with civil war and think that common dragons are more fuss because they’re the one rampage.

Asides from a bunch of dragons flying around in circles and a pat on the back by the Greybeards and Blades in the sky temple. There is nothing more, that the Dragonborn gets. Besides, Skyrim is a game enjoyed for its atmosphere and lore. So not a big deal.

9 SENSIBLE FAN THEORY: The Dragonborn Becomes Evil

This theory has popped up a lot in many forums, but the general theme remains the same. Dragonborn is a mastermind or he becomes evil later in the series. It has a lot of weight to it as well. Dragonborn slowly becomes powerful by defeating Alduin and learns to increase his powers from old artifacts. Everyone trusts him. He’s in the perfect spot to take over the world.

Other theories suggest that Dragonborn goes on a rampage of killing dragons. He absorbs more souls than he can handle and the nature of dragons dominates his mind. He becomes corrupt and turns against the Empire to claim the Throne.

8 MAKES NO SENSE: The Elder Scrolls Sells For 2000 Gold

Elder Scrolls are artifacts that hold the secrets of the past, present, and future. They helped the Dragonborn in learning Alduin’s past and how to defeat him. But once the main quest of Skyrim is completed and the elders’ scrolls are still in Dragonborn’s possession.

Their whole value is of 2000 gold, nothing more. This is another unresolved thing that Bethesda forgot to clarify. Shouldn’t something so powerful and powerful cost a bit more?

7 SENSIBLE FAN THEORY: The Emperor Decided To Kill Himself

Remember Titus Mede? The failed King who barely pushed back Thalmor and in the end admitted defeat? Also, he was the sitting ruler when the civil war first broke out. Well, the Dragonborn assassinates him in the end. One theory suggests that it was Titus himself who called the hit.

The guards around his ship were a lot less than usual. When Dragonborn reaches his room, he just calmly gets up and wants it all to just end. Maybe all the pressure was too much for him and this seemed like an easy escape.

6 MAKES NO SENSE: Paarthurnax Was Going To Purify Dragons

After the Season Unending DLC, the Blades demand that Paarthurnax be slain for the atrocities he committed under the rule of Alduin. If the Dragonborn refuses and has a dialogue with Paarthunax, he explains about these plans to reform dragons and teaching them the way of voice to live peacefully.

But he just flew into the horizon with a bunch of dragons and there’s been no word from him since then. Maybe he’ll come back in The Elder Scrolls: VI. Who Knows?

5 SENSIBLE FAN THEORY: Paarthunax Is Evil

Paarthunax is the only dragon that decided to help humans instead of killing them. Does he have any ulterior motives?  He wasn’t powerful enough to kill Alduin; he needed the Dragonborn to carry it out, and that’s why he helped him with his Thu’um.

He said he was going to purify the dragon. He may be uniting the disbanded dragons and planning a surprise attack from the shadows. He could be getting strong enough to kill the Dragonborn because he’s the only one that poses a threat to him. He even says it for himself to never trust a dragon

4 MAKES NO SENSE: The Civil War Never Ends

The civil war is something that played a huge part in Skyrim. In fact, the long standing civil war ends with the Dragonborn choosing a side and the other being pushed out for good. But it never truly ends.

Enemy generals are still found in the area and they also give side quests to the Dragonborn. It is a little missed detail but goes completely out of logic. They should’ve been killed off by whoever the Dragonborn sided with or at the least retreated to their territories. and holed out there. Also, why are the Dragonborn’s supposed enemies casually handing out side quests?

3 SENSIBLE FAN THEORY: Alduin Saved The Dragonborn

At the start of the game, Dragonborn is taken to be executed in Helgen. Luckily, a dragon attacks the town and the Dragonborn can escape with his life. Later on, that dragon turns out to be Alduin, the enemy he has to kill later on.

Fans suggest that Alduin deliberately saved the Dragonborn. There was no reason for him to attack that small town. Also, it may be that Alduin sensed the Dragonborn presence and went in there to finish but did the opposite of what he wanted.

2 MAKES NO SENSE: What Happened With Thalmor?

Thalmor are the bad guys in Skyrim… well who isn’t? They seek to destroy the empire, take control of it, wipe out the humans, and end the worship of Talor. It’s also the reason for the war between the Empire and the Thalmor.

But after the game’s end, Thalmor just quiets down. There was no explanation about what their direction would be after the civil war ends or the Emperor’s death. It can be something that Bethesda plans to continue in The Elder Scrolls: VI.

1 SENSIBLE FAN THEORY: Skyrim Gets Nuked & Becomes Fallout

A plant, Nirnroot, can be discovered in Fallout 4. While this seems rather innocuous, it’s a plant that can also be found in Skyrim. This led fans to think that the Skyrim and Fallout exist in the same universe.

The whole Skyrim world went extinct because the earth was destroyed. The evolution created humans again, who nuked each other, yet again, to extinction. This created the current world of Fallout. Either that or Bethesda just wanted to add an Easter Egg for the fans of both series. Whatever it is, this theory would be fun if turns out to be true.
