Sky: Children of the Light is starting 2021 with a fresh batch of content, as developer thatgamecompany announced Season of Dreams is now available. The expansion will see the “community coming together to uplift a local young performer.”
The studio wants Season of Dreams to channel “the emotional rollercoaster of bringing a personal dream to life.” You’ll follow the story of a young skater who wants to perform in the kingdom’s coliseum – one of the highest honors in the land. Here’s a bit of what you’ll discover with the new season:
- Relive the skater’s memories, from their humble village beginnings to the final performance. Discover Village of Dreams and Hermit Valley, locations where you and your friends can practice your skills on the ice. Interact with the Season Guide and Four Retired Mentors and complete their challenging lessons. Each one demands perfection of a different skill, and it’ll take plenty of practice before you’re ready for the coliseum. Unlock new expressions, masks, capes, and hairstyles. Traveling Spirits added: These give you a way to build new friendships and unlock exclusive items.
There’s also new Sky merchandise on the official store, including an umbrella and TGC pin. More is planned for the months ahead, so check back in February to see if anything new has been added.
It was also announced that Sky will be landing on Switch this spring, with other “multi-format releases at a later date.” Season of Dreams is now available for $9.99 with the Adventure Season Pass.
