The Sims 4 is a great game for those looking for a real-life simulation that allows them to become whoever they want. Some players aspire to be the richest Sim in the neighborhood, and the best way to do that is to find a lucrative career. Sims can apply for jobs in areas like writing, business, even become a criminal.

The best way to earn a lot of money is to choose a career with high payouts. Obviously a Sim will have to work hard and show up to work in order to gain the promotion needed to earn a raise, but the first step is to choose the right job. Keep reading to learn about a few of the careers in The Sims 4 base game that will earn players the most money!

10 Writer - Journalist Branch (§6,888/Week)

The writing career path will make players a decent penny, but it does max out at §6,888 per week in the Journalist Branch. Players can also choose to go the route of the Author Branch, but it will only put §5,580 in their pocket each week. The base pay is a bit higher than others at §1,600, but those looking to make a bigger paycheck should consider looking at other careers.

9 Tech Guru - eSport Gamer Branch (§7,872/Week)

Players really can’t go wrong by becoming a tech guru, as both the eSport Gamer Branch and Start-Up Entrepreneur Branch max out at about the same weekly paycheck. Those who choose the Esport Gamer Branch will make slightly more, but overall it gives the player more options to choose from. The base pay is one of the highest as well as it tops out at §3,120 per week.

8 Entertainer - Musician Branch (§9,520/Week)

This branch usually isn’t chosen unless a player aspires to become the star on a stage. The best branch to choose is the Musician Branch, as the Comedian Branch will leave players with about §1,000 less each week. It requires them to learn both the piano and either the guitar or violin, but it is worth it for the payday at the end of their journey.

7 Culinary - Chef Branch (§9,840/Week)

When players think of culinary excellence, a chef instantly comes to mind, but there is a Mixology Branch as well. The Chef Branch is more lucrative as it brings in §9,840 per week, while the latter only receives §5,910.

The starting pay is fairly low at just §1,376, but the flip side is that they will learn some valuable skills. A Sim will be serving up gourmet meals in no time and serving amazing drinks to please their friends.

6 Criminal - Boss Branch (§10,680/Week)

This career path starts out a bit rough as a Sim is required to work for seven hours every day of the week. The upside is that when they reach the top tier of the Boss Branch they will be raking in §10,680 per week. The starting pay isn’t great as the basic career path tops out at §960, but a smart player will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

5 Athlete - Professional Athlete Branch (§11,655/Week)

Professional athletes might be paid a ton in real life, but in the game, they top out in the middle of the career list. The biggest salary players can achieve is §11,655 per week if they choose the Professional Athlete Branch. A Sim going into the Bodybuilder Branch can still bring home §9,000 per week, but it is nowhere near as much as they could be earning.

4 Secret Agent - Villain Branch (§12,875/Week)

The Villain Branch of the secret agent career will have a Sim working six days a week for five hours a day, but it is totally worth it. They will bring home §12,875 per week, although the Diamond Agent Branch has them earning about the same amount.

The Sims will learn the skills of logic, charisma, and mischief on their journey to becoming the best secret agent there ever was. The base pay is also decent as a player will earn §2,088 per week when they complete the basic branch.

3 Business - Investor Branch (§12,992/Week)

Some may think that this would be at the top of the list, especially as players see prominent businessman at the top of every Forbes list. This career tops out at §12,992 per week in the Investor Branch, and the Management Branch makes about §1000 less. A Sim’s charisma and logic skills will improve as they continue to grow in this career field.

2 Style Influencer - Stylist Branch (§13,650/Week)

A Sim in thus career will dabble in a little bit of everything as they learn things like writing, charisma, painting, and photography. A Sim who chooses the Stylist Branch will make §13,650 per week, which is almost double what a Sim in the writing career will make at the height of their career.

Players can also choose to enter the Trendsetter Branch, but the hours are the same and it will leave them with less money.

1 Astronaut - Interstellar Smuggler Branch (§14,868/Week)

The astronaut career is the most lucrative of them all in terms of top pay, and even the max base pay a player can earn. If a Sim chooses the Interstellar Smuggler Branch they will bring home §14,868 per week for only four days of work. It will leave them with an epic career as they travel into space to uncover artifacts that can be sold to make them a luxurious living.
