The Sims 4 introduced us to a number of new characters, from townies to families and even special visitors. Some of these characters would turn out to be annoying, while others would become icons. Each and every one has a different role to play in the increasingly diverse Sims 4 world.

Here we take a look at some that are unique to this installment of the franchise. Brushing aside the iconic Goths and other well-known names, we focus on characters who have added something special to the game. This could be a unique feature they bring, an intriguing back story or simply a bright face to cheer up a dark day. These are some of our favorite characters that are brand new in The Sims 4.

10 Flower Bunny

The flower bunny was introduced in the Seasons expansion and will pay sims a visit as part of the game’s holiday system. Appearing on the in-game equivalent of Easter, the bunny is as quiet as they are adorable.

You can interact with the flower bunny and also fight them for eggs. However, doing this will drastically decrease your relationship with them. If you want to be friends with this adorable bunny then play nice. They may not talk back but they’ll play on the swings with you.

9 Jasmine Holiday

Jasmine Holiday is not related to Willow Creek’s Summer Holiday but is, in fact, a roaming townie who will pay sims a visit on special occasions. She brings news of special events and always has a smile on her face.

In the past she’s helped simmers celebrate the day of the dead, turn into a plant sim and much more. She clearly loves her job spreading holiday cheer and we love her for it. We also love her hair, which she frequently changes.

8 Morgyn Ember

Everyone’s favorite spellcaster, Morgyn Ember is the Sage of Untamed Magic and resides in The Magic Realm. While listed as male, Morgyn’s gender is open to interpretation and his style is distinctly feminine or androgynous.

Many Simmers fell in love with the bewitching spellcaster when the Realm of Magic trailer was released. He is also the only sage to truly live up to his trailer appearance and persona in-game, making him a firm favorite.

7 Salim Benali

Salim lives in San Myshuno. He is mostly known in the simming community for his unconventional appearances in the games of anyone playing a sim in his apartment block in the Arts Quarter.

He is a writer and gamer whose bio suggests he also likes to nap. However, simmers experience suggests his interests are more unique than that, causing frequent disturbances to his neighbors. Many have complained but beware if you do as Salim likes to answer his door wearing some interesting attire.

6 Candy Behr

Candy lives in Windenburg with her sister Yuki and shares a name, career and some personality traits with DJ Candy from MySims. This deliberate reference is evident in the DJ Candy trophy in her bedroom. While her look is more modern and funky, we still love her just as much.

Candy is a DJ and dancer, following the entertainer career and, along with her sister, is one of the stand out sims in Windenburg, their vibrant looks contrasting with the traditional town.

5 Nalani Mahi’ai

One of the most beautiful characters in-game, mermaid Nalani was the poster sim for Island Living and resides in Sulani. In the trailer, she was voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, who also voiced Moana in the Disney movie of the same name.

Nalani is the mermaid we all want to be, or at least befriend. She has a warm and cheery in-game personality and brings vibrance to the island with her bright style and lovable disposition.

4 Erwin Pries

Our favorite conspiracy theorist Erwin Pries resides in Strangerville and works at the Curio shop. Not only does he sport some amazing headgear, but he is also integral to the Strangerville storyline.

As simmers uncover the mystery of those weird acting sims, Erwin is on hand to help and we all appreciate it. For many of us, he was also a solid choice to be alongside our sims throughout the journey.

3 Patchy The Straw Man

Patchy is another holiday NPC but this time he lives in your garden. Able to be purchased, this straw man comes to life if you pay enough attention to him while out tending your garden.

You can keep him as a garden helper, watching him step down from his perch to water your plants and tend your garden or you can make him part of your family. As a sim, he will have random traits, meaning no two Patchy’s are ever the same.

2 Caleb Vatore

Caleb is The Sims’ very own sparkly vampire, just without the actual sparkles. Aspiring to be a good vampire, he and his sister Lilith seek alternatives to drinking sims plasma. This is said to upset vampire master Vlad but the game doesn’t show this.

If you want a supernatural heartthrob then Caleb is your go-to. No doubt taking inspiration from YA vampire novels, he has nothing to do all day but look cool and chat up the residents of Forgotten Hollow.

1 Bob Pancakes

No list of Sims 4 characters would be complete without the truly iconic Bob Pancakes. He is married to Eliza, a sim we all love to hate, and is also the star of the ‘Stay Weirder’ trailer for the game.

Living in Willow Creek with Eliza since The Sims 4 was launched, he has become a legend to many. Described as “the most least interesting Sim in the world” he has come to be the face of this generation of Sims.
