Shantae and the Seven Sirens is available now for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you’re still on the fence as to whether or not you should pick up the fifth installment in the Shantae series, a new video featuring the first hour of gameplay has been posted, allowing you to make an informed decision - albeit, a bit of a spoiled one.

Nintendo Hall posted the 56-minute video to their YouTube channel, allowing viewers to take a look at Shantae and the Seven Sirens’ platforming action as the half-genie makes her way through an all-new Metroidvania adventure to rescue her friends.

The animations look as charming as ever, while the platforming mechanics appear to be tight and well-executed as Shantae makes her way through various towns, dungeons, and island ruins, encountering all sorts of enemies along the way. The soundtrack and audio design also fit the vibe of the long-standing series, which fans of the franchise will surely be familiar with.
