Like most of its predecessors, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider includes a bunch of different puzzles for you to complete. And as you would expect from a series called Tomb Raider, many of the game’s trials are located within the game’s various challenge tombs. One, in particular, is named Temple of the Sun, and it includes a very tricky mirror puzzle.

Unlike most video game trials that involve mirrors, this challenge doesn’t task you with guiding a single ray of light into a specific spot. Instead, each mirror has its own ray of light, which you can aim at specific crystals to alter the positioning of metal beams. You can then walk across these bits of scaffolding to get to other locations. The objective is to create a pathway so you can reach the desired artifact on the other side of the room.

Here is every step you need to take to complete one of the hardest puzzles in the game.

How To Complete The Tomb

The following is the step-by-step guide on completing the tomb.

Turn the first mirror you see as you enter the room (mirror one) to the left, which will light up a crystal and swing a beam around.

Walk across the pole that has just turned to get to the second mirror (mirror two).

Point mirror two underneath the center platform, so it shines on the crystal across the room.

Now go back to mirror one and turn it to face the beam on the right, making it move.

Go across that pole, drop down, and then walk along the next one to reach mirror 3.

Turn mirror 3 to the left, so it’s no longer pointing at the center platform and is instead illuminating the pipe you’ve just walked along.

Return to mirror one again by using the same path that got you to mirror three. You will need to climb up the wall on the left to reach the beams.

Once again, you need to swivel mirror one around, so it points at the crystal to your left, creating the path to mirror two.

Go to mirror two and point it at the exact same pole that mirror one is currently lighting up.

Then, head back to the first mirror again.

Move mirror one so that it’s aiming straight ahead, through the center platform, and shining on a crystal at the other side.

Return to mirror two and point it at the crystal to your left.

Traverse the pole you’ve just spun around and the one directly next to it, allowing you to reach the final mirror (mirror four).

Turn mirror four slightly to the left to activate a beam that’s in the middle of the water.

Now you’ll need to walk back along the pipe you’ve just come across, which you can only reach by climbing the wall behind you.

Once you’ve gotten across the beam and dropped down, DON’T jump to the next one. Instead, turn left to find a little walkway that takes you to the center platform.

While on the platform, you need to jump across the two pipes in the middle of the water. On the other side is your prize (Hoatzin’s Hunger), and by collecting it, you’ve completed the challenge tomb.
