Master Chief and his Collection are both still going strong thanks to Season 7’s recent arrival. With Season 7, you’ll get new Elite armor customization options, new vehicle skins for the original halo, and a “litany of armors are returning from their time in Halo Online.”
But first we’ll talk about swords. Energy Swords–the glowy, two-pronged alien devices that never fail to slice an enemy in twain. There are seven new Energy Sword colors to choose from (because it’s Season 7–get it?), along with all those new Elite armor cosmetic options that were previously mentioned. Be pink, purple, orange, red, yellow, or whatever color you want to close out the month of Pride and enter into Season 7’s content.
Speaking of new content, the Champions Bundle for Halo 4 returns from the year 2013, bringing even more armor sets, weapon skins, and emotes to strike fear into your foes.
Halo: Reach’s armor effects make the jump to Halo 4, and new maps from Halo Online are in the social matchmaking rotation, including Edge and Waterfall. Oh, and Firefight is now available in Reach and ODST social matchmaking too.
Now for the time-limited Season 7 content. The Mk. VII Keystone helmet is free on the Exchange bringing a brand new Infinite-inspired look to Halo 4. You can pick up two new Halo 3 cosmetics by completing the ‘Nice Slice’ and ‘Keep Killer’ challenges for the Evocoti’s Edge Energy Sword Skin, and the ‘Bedtime Stories’ and ‘Caesar Dressing’ Challenges for the Tinted Smoke Tech Suit. In Halo 4, you can earn the Pixel Battle Rifle Skin by completing the ‘Brain Burst’ and ‘Quattro King’ challenges.
We’ve already mentioned a bunch of new modding tools that were released along with Season 7, so if you’re a modder, there’s even more content to explore. At least one of these tools is brand new, so check it out if you’re into making your own Halo maps.
