By cutting back on the features the NX1000 is a price-aware compact system camera. But that doesn’t mean it scrimps on the good stuff: its 20.3-megapixel sensor is great, and we like the easy-to-use design. On the downside the battery life is fairly poor, continuous autofocus isn’t all that, there’s “lock out” issue when burst shooting, and you’ll never be able to add a viewfinder. But for the money we’re impressed; this is the compact system camera for image quality buffs.
