Sailor Moon started as a monthly manga series in Japan and quickly blossomed into a show known all around the world. Sailor Moon is based on Usagi Tsukino, a schoolgirl who inherits magical powers to become a soldier against evil. The story is broken up into five arcs in which Sailor Moon and her group of Sailor soldiers face a variety of evil threats. Now, fans are being treated to free episodes of the classic Sailor Moon coming to YouTube, curtesy of the anime streaming company, Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll will be releasing every episode of the first three arcs on YouTube so fans can relive the nearly 30-year-old classic show. People who have never seen Sailor Moon have an amazing chance to watch the show before the new movie, Sailor Moon Eternal is released. Sailor Moon Eternal is scheduled for a September 11th release in Japan, but the release date for all other regions is unknown.

Unfortunately for binge-watchers, the episodes will be released weekly in batches starting on April 24th and going through July 17th. The episodes will be released in batches of ten so there won’t be as long of a wait for every individual episode.

Crunchyroll is appealing to many anime fans by releasing the original Sailor Moon, as the classic cartoon was adored by children and adults. Everyone enjoyed the opening credit song and watched in anticipation as the Sailor soldiers transform into powerful magical heroes. The first ten episodes are sure to grab some attention on YouTube this Friday when the show relaunches.

Sailor Moon episodes will release weekly on YouTube starting April 24th, 2020.
