Jagex announced the winners of its annual Golden Gnome Awards late last week, handing out accolades to the most popular creators in the RuneScape community. Among the winners were J1mmy (Best Music Creation), NoxiousIRL (Best Cosplay Prop), and Faux (Outstanding Community Achievement).
The tenth annual Golden Gnome Awards handed out dozens of trophies to members of both the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape community. It’s a fantastic way to showcase the talent of dedicated players and creators, and for Jagex to give back to fans that have been kind to them over the past year. Both games continue to grow – despite their age – and a large part of that is due to their passionate player base.

These awards are usually passed out during RuneFest, however, the event was held digitally this year due to the ongoing pandemic. The event, which took place on Friday, November 20, was viewed by more than 100,000 people as they tuned in to celebrate the storied MMORPGs and their faithful communities.
“We’ve seen phenomenal levels of creativity from the RuneScape communities over the years and the 10th Anniversary of the Golden Gnomes has been our biggest and most comprehensive ceremony to date, with 21 awards up for grabs and streaming world-wide across all our social channels,” said Pete McKay, Director of Community Management. “Our community is truly at the heart of our living games philosophy. This ceremony has brought our games, our players, and the Jagex team together to share an incredible experience and I’m so proud of the production standard we achieved while executing from our own homes.”
