Now that Resident Evil 3’s remake has released to largely positive reception, some have been wondering if the game will get any DLC. This is in part due to the game’s rather short length in comparison to 2019’s Resident Evil 2.
As per Comicbook, industry insider Dusk Golem cast aside any concerns regarding DLC for Resident Evil 3. In a tweet, the source discussed the likelihood of any Resident Evil 3 DLC as well as extra content for its multiplayer counterpart, Resident Evil Resistance.
The tweet can be seen below.
There might be a small glimmer of hope considering Dusk Golem can’t confirm that there’s absolutely no DLC in development for Resident Evil 3. However, given that the remake’s development cycle ended “some time ago,” he implied that it’s very likely that there won’t be any for the game.
On the other hand, Dusk Golem did state that Resident Evil Resistance will be getting some updates soon; Resident Evil 3 also got a recent patch that fixed performance issues. Specifically, the resolution for the Xbox One version of the game received a drop in order to have it run as well as 2019’s Resident Evil 2. Its previous resolution caused RE3 to run less smoothly than its predecessor.
Resident Evil 3 (2020) is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
