Fans looking for a stealthy, stylish, and creative new ninja game may be in for a treat. Developer RockGame has released a fresh trailer for Ninja Simulator, a game that will launch on Steam.

Ninja Simulator looks to sneak its way into the hearts of fans on PC. The trailer shows off a rather gorgeous Japanese backdrop, stealth gameplay, and deadly weaponry. The emphasis in terms of gameplay in the video was stealth, so hopefully it lives up to the many great games that focus on covert missions and moving through the shadows.

There has been a bit of a void in terms of ninja games as of late. While the setting was used heavily in the ’80s and ’90s, many ninja characters have been relegated to just a part of the cast in fighters and hero shooters lately. However, they may be making a comeback, with Sekiro serving as a great return to ninja games. A continuation of fun games of its ilk would be appreciated by many.

Games with the word “simulator” have popped up quite a bit over the past few years. Goat Simulator and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, the latter being considered one of the best sims in gaming, use the word more as a joke, as the gameplay doesn’t represent true simulation. Other games like Farming Simulator certainly lean more towards attempting realism. Time will tell how much of a “simulator” Ninja Simulator truly is, but the trailer alone is certainly enough to get fans intrigued.

Ninja Simulator is in development for PC.
