It seems as though the action never stops on Twitch, and tomorrow (July 14) is sure to be swamped thanks to the launch of Rocket Arena! To celebrate the occasion, Twitch Rivals is bringing the best of the best to face off in a 3v3 multiplayer tournament with the winners splitting $100,000 in prize money!

The teams will consist of eight captains forming up their 3v3 squads for each match. In order to ensure that the matches are always in high gear without any lulls in competition, the tournament format will be round robin, meaning that games will be ongoing throughout the day.

The eight captains participating in the stream are as follows:

  • AfroSenju XL AvaGG BigCheeseKit Bugha MrFruit NickEH30 Ninjayla SypherPK

The action all begins at 1pm PDT, and readers can either click here for the Twitch Rivals page or on any of the streamers above. When it comes to dividing up the spoils of competition, it looks like most streamers will have a good opportunity to make some money.

One-third of the available price money will split among first, second, and third place teams following the Playoffs, another third will go to players for winning and losing Round Robin games, and the other third awarded based on specific objectives. Most wins overall, highest margin of victory, fasted victory, and others will all net players a bunch of cash! Overall, it genuinely seems like all streamers will come out with some money, unless by some strange chance they happen to lose every since one of their games!

For those who may not be familiar with the game, Rocket Arena is a first person shooter where all players face off with a rocket launcher. Each selectable character players quite differently from each other thanks to having different types of rocket launchers. This means that combat, mobility, and utility all feel unique among each character. In some ways, the rocket jumping antics of the Soldier class from Team Fortress 2 can be felt here, and it is an absolute blast to play.

Be sure to tune in for the exciting launch of Rocket Arena!
