Mysteen has quickly established herself as one of the premiere heroes in Rocket Arena, causing problems for opposing players whenever she is in the Arena. Mysteen comes from the aptly named Conjura, but the motivation behind her appearance in the Rocket Championship Tour remains a mystery. Regardless of why she is here, she is an incredibly fun hero to play, and any team with somebody who knows how to control them has a huge advantage in that she and her phantasm can be effectively employed as two playable characters that can be hopped between numerous times in a match.

Mysteen’s abilities are pretty impressive, while also unique. Her primary attack consists of Card Rockets. These things do quite a bit of damage on their own, and while not advertised, it feels like they have a slight homing ability. In the video above, you can see them curving towards the opponent, which, coupled with the primary weapons every third attack firing a three-round burst leads to a high volume of KOs just from the primary attack. Next, her Mirror Shield provides ample additional defenses, and finally, her best ability is the body doubling Phantasm. Based on these abilities, it makes sense to explore a high damage build, a jumping build, and a dodge build.

High Damage Build

Mysteen has a rapid rate of fire, especially every third primary attack. Every bit of damage boost that can be provided will help her dominate the competition. For this build, we focus on squeezing damage extra damage out of every artifact and every situation. First, the Blastbird is a fundamental raw damage multiplier. Next, Mysteen benefits greatly from the Unstable Canister given her ability to rack up high combo multipliers. Finally, the Boom Bit was seemingly made for Mysteen, making her extra lethal after each KO.

First Artifact - Blastbird - Deal 3% more damage

Second Artifact - Unstable Canister - Deal more damage the higher your blast meter, up to 8%

Third Artifact - Boom Bit - KOs boost damage by 8% for 8 seconds

Jumping Build

Mysteen moves quickly, jumps high, and hits with rapid succession and accuracy, right out of the gate. What if we take her ability for rapid movements, and augmented her ability to jump? More importantly, what if her double had additional jump abilities? A fantastic and confusing experience. First, we equip the Axial Fan to increase base jump strength a whopping 30%. Berno’s Belt follows suit, adding a 30% boost to ground jump height. The Jumping Jukebox provides a jump strength increase of an additional 10% while jumping in the same direction, allowing for glorious triple jump combos.

First Artifact - Axial Fan - Jump strength increased by 30%

Second Artifact - Berno’s Belt - Ground jump height increased by 30%

Third Artifact - Juking Jukebox - Jump strength increased 10% when moving the same direction

Dodge Build

Mysteen comes with a fantastic defensive build from the start, with her Mirror Shield and Phantasm. By focusing on dodge ability, we make both Mysteen’s harder to hit, providing players with rapid dodge abilities as well as her Mirror Shield to alternate between. First, the Hunter’s Idol reduces incoming damage and impulse by 10%, which cumulatively adds up quickly. Next, the Coldsnap Locket expands the dodge radius for Mysteen, while the Bastion Bell builds off of Mysteen’s ability for rapid KO accumulation.

First Artifact - Hunter’s Idol - Decreases damage and impulse received by 10%

Second Artifact - Coldsnap Locket - Dodge radius increased by 100%

Third Artifact - Bastion Bell - KOs reduce the time until health regen starts by 40%

Mysteen was already fun to play with, but these three builds take it up to 11.
