Rocket Arena has arrived and is hooking tens of thousands in its first day of action. The game is fun, fast-paced, and has incredibly intuitive gameplay. Here, we will build out three different load-outs for the hero Izell to kickstart this close quarter combat hero’s abilities with obvious artifact boosts that only amplify the base abilities she comes with. For the ranked mode don’t forget to equip artifacts before getting started!
With ten different characters and maps available at launch, it could take a little while to master all heroes and maps. Izell is from the Gemstone Jungle and is an incredibly aggressive close-quarters fighter. For those who love rockets, and near melee level fighting, Izell is for you. Her base abilities include Spear Rockets, Bola Snare, and Jaaqua Charge highlighted a bit more in the video below. These abilities lend themselves to three distinct artifact build-outs, and below we highlight a high DPS build, a fast recharge build, and a dodge build.
High DPS Build
Izell’s close-range fighting lends itself to consideration of high damage output builds. Due to her close-range abilities, Izell’s maximum damage may accompany mastery of her abilities, which both help her get close or pull enemies to her for close-range assaults. For Izell, first, it is necessary to equip the Reef Buoy, which will ensure rapid access to the Jaquaa Charge. If she is taking damage, she’ll be giving it back in no time. Next, much of Izell’s fighting will occur on the ground, so don’t be shy, equip that Powder Keg. Finally, if you’ll be in the fight a lot with Izell, throw in that Boom Bit for that extra oomph.
First Artifact - Reef Buoy - Taking damage reduces special ability cooldown up to 15%
Second Artifact - Powder Keg - Deal 8% more damage while on the ground
Third Artifact - Boom Bit - KOs boost damage by 8% for 8 seconds
Fast Recharge Build
If Izell’s abilities are what draw you to this character, you should definitely consider a fast recharge build. A rapid interchange between effective snares and charges could easily set her up as an elite hero, far exceeding the average player. For a fast recharge, we recommend starting with the Reef Buoy - Izell’s inclination to be up close and personal ensures some damage will be received, why not get a boost from it? The Supercavitator ensures each KO achieved reduces ability cooldowns, which ensure double and triple KO opportunities. Finally, the Crystal Crown ensures rapid secondary cooldown, more snares ensure more KOs.
Second Artifact - Supercavitator - KOs reduce all active ability cooldowns
Third Artifact - Crystal Crown - Using your special ability reduces your secondary cooldown 30%
Dodge Build
Finally, Izell is a fast, up close player. Because of that playstyle, users may benefit most from the ability to dodge or reduce incoming damage while maximizing output. First, the Hunter’s Idol feels made for Izell. The reductions to incoming damage could add up quickly and ensure extra staying power. The Coldsnap Locket improves her dodge radius, and the Frosty Thermometer reduces dodge cooldown, which helps Izell whirl away from danger.
First Artifact - Hunter’s Idol - Decreases damage and impulse received by 10%
Second Artifact - Coldsnap Locket - Dodge radius increased by 100%
Third Artifact - Frosty Thermometer - Dodge cooldown reduced while in Megablast danger for 2.5 seconds
These builds will help Izell blast her way to victory, one rocket at a time.
