Risk of Rain 2, the surprise hit by Hopoo Games, is filled with plenty of enemies to shoot and secrets to find. While players are wandering the Abandoned Aqueduct searching for the Teleporter, they may have stumbled upon one of the more well-hidden secrets of the level: the hidden chamber. To earn the “Death Do Us Part” achievement, players will need to pop open the hidden chamber and clear it out, but getting through the door can be a bit of a challenge if they do not know what to do. Fortunately, with a little teamwork players can quickly earn access into the room.

How to Open the Hidden Chamber

Scattered throughout the Abandoned Aqueduct stage are two buttons must be pressed simultaneously to pop open the hidden chamber door. Due to the random nature of Risk of Rain 2, finding the buttons may be tricky, but they are often located behind large rocks. Once two players have pressed them, they will be given access to the hidden chamber. If a player is playing solo, it will require some tricky object placement. If players push a pot onto the button, it will count as an activation. If players have unlocked the Engineer character, then they can simply place a turret on the button.

What is in the Hidden Chamber?

Once players pop open the door to the Hidden Chamber, they will be met with one heck of a fight against two bosses. These two can dish out some massive damage if players are not prepared for it. Once the two bosses are defeated, players will have a chance to earn Lunar Coins as well as the other boss loot. They will also unlock the “Death Do Us Part” achievement as well.

Despite being in early access, players seem to be enjoying their time with Risk of Rain 2. The change from 2D to 3D is quite a big jump for fans of the original game, but the change allows for more interesting secrets - like the hidden chamber. Hopefully as the game continues its development, more secret challenges and levels will be added to the rapidly growing roguelike.

Risk of Rain 2 is available now on PC through Steam Early Access.
