Risk Of Rain 2 is a fast-paced, rogue-like shooter game. It is a fantastic game developed by an independent studio called Hopoo Games that can be pretty challenging at times. You must attempt to navigate through various levels, battling monsters and reaching the teleporter to progress.
As time goes on, the difficulty will increase, adding more dangerous threats. To combat these powerful creatures, it is essential to keep health regenerating. Fortunately, there are plenty of items in Risk Of Rain 2 to help heal up and get you ready for another battle.
Updated March 22, 2022, By Luke Ackroyd: This fantastic rogue-like shooter recently released its first expansion: Survivor Of The Void. This expansion includes two new survivors to play as, different environments to explore, and new bosses and monsters to fight. There are so many cool new additions to the game to keep it fresh and exciting. The update has also introduced even more Risk Of Rain 2 healing items. These are invaluable for any playthrough you embark upon. It can be so easy to lose health, especially when tackling the various new bosses of the game. So, here are the best healing items in Risk Of Rain 2 for you to make use of.
23 Ben’s Raincoat
No matter if you are trying out one of the new survivors, such as the big damage-dealing Railgunner, or sticking to a character you know well, you’ll want to check out Ben’s Raincoat.
This legendary item will increase your maximum health by 100 per stack. Alongside this, you will become immune to most debuffs you encounter. This does not include Void Fog, Overheat, Spinel Tonics, and Tonic Afflictions. It is a very useful item with only a few debuff exclusions to worry about. The health increase alone is worth it.
22 Pluripotent Larva
The Pluripotent Larva is an example of one of the new, mysterious Void Items that have been introduced. As with other Void items, the Pluripotent Larva will corrupt its counterpart. In this case, it is Dio’s Best Friend. Additionally, Pluripotent Larva will make any items that have a void variant become instantly corrupted too.
But, in terms of healing capabilities, the Pluripotent Larva is great for resurrection. One Pluripotent Larva is consumed when you are killed, and you are instantly brought back to life. Not only that, but you will have three seconds of invulnerability too.
21 Power Elixir
Unless you’re playing as the corrupted Void Fiend, the Power Elixir is another excellent item for when you are low on health. When you have a Power Elixir in your inventory and take enough damage to reach below 25 percent of your maximum health, you will consume this drink, and the Power Elixir will heal you for 75 percent of your maximum health.
This is a common item but is also a one-use-only effect. So, it’s a good idea to find quite a few of them to help give you that much-needed boost when in the heat of a fight.
20 Remote Caffeinator
The Remote Caffeinator is quite a wacky piece of equipment. This little phone is used to summon an Eclipse Zero Vending Machine from the sky. This vending machine will plummet down and cause quite a lot of damage to those caught in the landing zone.
You do not have to wait long after calling. Within five seconds, the vending machine will arrive. Once here, you can make use of it up to 12 times, paying a bit of gold for the privilege too. It will dispense cans of soda that will fly towards you, healing for 25 percent of your maximum health.
19 Stone Flux Pauldron
The Stone Flux Pauldron is a Lunar level item you can get thanks to the Survivors Of The Void expansion. It is similar to Ben’s Raincoat because it will increase your maximum health by 100 percent. It is a stackable item, so if you can get more than one, you will be able to improve your health even more.
There is a big catch, though, with this item. Your movement speed will be decreased by 50 percent per stack as well. Even with the helpful health bonus, too much of a speed decrease can make it not worth it. You’ll want to get some other items, such as the Mocha or Paul’s Goat Hoof, to negate this decrease in movement speed.
18 Weeping Fungus
The Weeping Fungus is one of the 14 new Void Items introduced to the game. Because it is a void item, it will, of course, corrupt its counterpart. This time, it will be corrupting the Bustling Fungus. Any Bustling Fungus you have in your inventory will be transformed into Weeping Fungus right away and count towards its stack.
To use the Weeping Fungus, you need to sprint around the map. The Weeping Fungus will heal you for two percent (per stack) of your maximum health as long as you are running at the time.
17 Aegis
The Aegis is a legendary item used to gain additional health from other healing items. When healing beyond total capacity, you will be granted a temporary barrier for 50 percent of the amount of health you were healing for.
Aegis is one of the few legendary items scattered around the planet. There is around a one percent chance that a legendary item will drop from a small chest.
16 Bustling Fungus
The Bustling Fungus is a common item used to create a three-meter radius that will heal you for four point five percent of your health. The catch? You will need to be standing still for it to take effect, which means becoming an easy target for enemies.
The fungus can be stacked to increase its range. You can also use the fungus combined with other items, such as the Rejuvenation Rack, to double its healing capabilities.
15 Cautious Slug
Another common item you can find along your adventures is the Cautious Slug. This item provides a passive regeneration for you. In Risk Of Rain 2 you naturally regenerate health slowly over time.
The Cautious Slug will increase this base health regeneration by three health points per stack of slugs. It is important to note that the healing will only occur when you are out of combat.
14 Corpsebloom
The Corpsebloom is a Lunar Item, meaning you can only purchase it with Lunar Coins at Lunar Pods or at the Bazaar Between Time.
The Corpsebloom doubles the amount of healing you will receive. But, this healing is applied over time rather than instantaneously. Using the Corpsebloom, you can recover for a maximum of ten percent of your health per second.
13 Harvester’s Scythe
The Harvester’s Scythe is classed as an uncommon item. This scythe has a passive trait that increases your chance of unleashing a critical strike to five percent instead of one percent.
Now, not only do these critical strikes deal twice the amount of damage to an enemy, thanks to the Harvester’s Scythe, you will also receive eight health points. Thus, this item is excellent for healing while dealing out damage.
12 Infusion
The Infusion is another uncommon item that survivors can find. The Infusion will grant a permanent health increase for every enemy that you manage to kill up to a total of 100 points. You can hold any number of infusions. So, it can be beneficial to have a few Infusions to boost the health bar as quickly as possible.
It is handy to know that turrets spawned by the Engineer can make use of infusions but do not contribute to your personal kill count total.
11 Interstellar Desk Plant
While attempting to survive a planet full of deadly monsters, you might not initially think that a desk plant would be too helpful. Fortunately, this is no ordinary desk plant.
The Interstellar Desk Plant will spawn a healing fruit seed on the ground after each kill. This will create a five-meter area that will heal you for ten percent of your maximum health every second.
10 Irradiant Pearl
This boss item is a rare version of an ordinary Pearl. At a Cleansing Pool, a pearl has around an 80 percent chance of being dropped in exchange for a lunar item (which is a steep price to pay). In comparison, the Irradiant Pearl only has a 20 percent chance.
A standard Pearl will increase your maximum health by ten percent. The Irradiant Pearl will increase all stats by the same amount. Both versions are worth finding just for the health increase alone.
9 Leeching Seed
A Leeching Seed is an uncommon item that allows you to heal around one point of health every time you attack an enemy. This is a great item to collect early on for a bit of a boost when in combat (especially when stacked).
But, other items such as the Harvester’s Scythe prove to be more useful in the later game, as they offer more health than the Leeching Seed.
8 Lepton Daisy
This uncommon item is used primarily during the Teleporter Event. It isn’t much use elsewhere. When you are in the teleporter event, the Lepton Daisy will heal all players in the teleporter radius for 50 percent of their maximum health.
The more Lepton Daisy’s the player has, the more bursts of healing they will receive during the event. It is quite a scenario-specific item but valuable for the final battle of an area.
7 Medkit
The Medkit is quite helpful if you keep taking damage from enemies. When damage is dealt to you, the Medkit will heal you for 20 points. Alongside this, you will get an additional heal worth five percent of your maximum health.
The healing only takes place two seconds after you took the damage, so you need to be careful and avoid taking too many hits. If you are hit during this two-second waiting time, the timer until you get healed will reset.
6 Mired Urn
When you are battling the Clay Dunestrider at a teleporter, there is a chance that you will receive The Mired Urn instead of an uncommon item.
While in combat, the Mired Urn will tether one enemy to you. The enemy will receive 100 percent of damage per second and will also heal you for 100 percent of the damage dealt. Mired Urn is a handy item for regaining health while simultaneously slowing down the enemy with tar.
5 Monster Tooth
This common item allows you to gain a little bit of health for every enemy you kill. When an enemy is killed, the Monster Tooth will cause them to drop small green orbs. These orbs will heal you for eight and an additional two percent of your maximum health per stack of Monster Teeth.
The Monster Tooth is likely more useful for melee range survivors, as these healing orbs will not float over to you. Instead, you must run over to them to pick them up.
4 Planula
The Planula is another boss item. When you are facing the Grandparent during the teleporter battle, there is a chance that it will drop the Planula after the fight.
The Planula gives you some flat healing when you are attacked. You will heal 15 points when you receive any incoming damage from enemies.
