Riot Games have confirmed that they’ll be undertaking the ambitious task of releasing a new VALORANT agent every two months.
This information comes directly from a video released yesterday on Twitter featuring VALORANT Executive Producer Anna Donlon, who gives a brief run-down of what we can expect from the game’s developers over the coming months.
For those who need a reminder, each VALORANT Episode will last around six months and consist of three Acts, each of which lasts for two months. A new agent is due to be released at the beginning of each Act, so that means six agents in total per year.
However, she supplements this statement with a request directed towards players, asking for some assistance in deciding some of the constraints around this. Things like how many agents is too many agents, or any other relevant feedback. But the folks at Riot Games seem convinced that six is the sweet spot.
While we can apparently expect the biggest updates to be released along with each new Episode (that is, every six months), throughout each Act there will also be a number of updates and content drops rolled out too.
So according to Donlon, from where we are now we can expect next big content drop at the beginning of Act 2.
