At the beginning of Resident Evil Village, you will have to hold off against a large Lycan assault. This is extremely tough, and you are supposed to just survive for as long as possible until a cutscene in which you will come face to face with Urias (a particularly large Lycan) begins.

However, you can actually defeat Urias during this initial fight. If you manage to kill Urias here, you will unlock the Timber achievement/trophy. This guide will cover everything you need to know to unlock the Timber achievement/trophy in Resident Evil Village.

How To Defeat Urias During The First Lycan Attack In Resident Evil Village

Although you come across this fight very early in Resident Evil Village, you should wait until after you have completed the game to attempt this achievement. Urias is extremely hard to kill with the first Handgun, and you will almost certainly be killed. The first time you face the Lycan assault, just focus on surviving so that you can advance further in the game.

During your initial playthrough, try to upgrade as many weapons as possible. This will be costly, but it is worth it. If you fully upgrade a weapon, you can buy an infinite ammo cheat for it from the extra content shop after completing the game.

After you have completed Resident Evil Village, you can start a New Game Plus. This allows you to restart the game with all of your weapons and unlocks from your first playthrough so you can bring those upgraded weapons into the fight with Urias.

Play through the opening of the game again, until you come up against the pack of Lycans and Urias. Equip a weapon that deals a lot of damage, like the Grenade Launcher or the Wolfsbane Magnum, and start firing at Urias. Remember to use an infinite ammo cheat, as this will ensure that you can keep firing until you defeat him. These cheats do not disable trophies or achievements, so you can use them to easily get any achievements or trophies that you missed during your first playthrough of Resident Evil Village.

The regular Lycans will advance on you, so hold them off with a few shots if any get too close. Keep firing at Urias until he falls to the ground. Walk over to the body to get lots of Lei, which you can use to get more upgrades from the Duke.
