The Resident Evil 3 Remake is a horrifying game that allows the player to fight using a variety of different weapons and equipment. Every player wants to take out zombies with ease and because of all of the weapons and modifications in the game players will have their wish if they use everything at their disposal to fight off the horde!
This list will go over 10 ways to ensure that every player survives the infected city with few problems and maybe show players a few things they didn’t realize they could obtain. From important tips to powerful weapon modifications, here are 10 things that will help players become a soldier that will make the zombies start running away from them, and not vice versa!
10 Conserve Ammo
Ammo is definitely scarce in the remake of RE3 and players will want to ensure that they always have enough of it during fights with hordes of zombies or more powerful enemies. Occasionally players will come across enemies that can just be walked by, for instance a single zombie. It is advisable to not waste ammo shooting it because there is no point if the player can walk by it without even being touched.
Players that want to be able to fight strong enemies with ease will definitely want to have a surplus of ammo and that won’t be the case if they run around the city wasting the few bullets that they’re able to acquire. Also making sure to explore every nook and cranny to have the most ammo possible definitely helps!
9 Break Every Wooden Crate
Throughout the game Jill will run into wooden crates with yellow paper on them. These can be broken using every kind of weapon and they have useful items inside including ammo. They can be found anywhere really but a lot of the time they’re hidden behind cars or in dark rooms.
Players will want to keep an eye out for these crates because if every single one is looted then the player will give few issues in terms of running out of health items and ammo. Breaking these crates is essential to ensuring that players have a good inventory and since it’s so easy to break them its worth the extra few seconds of searching for them.
8 Dot Sight Upgrade For Pistol
The pistol is the first gun that players acquire in the RE3 remake and it can be very useful because ammo for the gun is plentiful throughout the world. However aiming can be an annoying task with this handgun because zombies sway back and forth and the dot is very small on the gun.
This upgrade helps players with their aim and ensures that they can take down zombies and other enemies easily before the zombie can take a bite out of them. It can be found in a safe on a shelf around the Donut Shop area. The combination is 9 left, 3 right, 7 left. This is an absolute must collect for any player that wants to hit all their shots!
7 Stay Calm
The Resident Evil series has always given players a nerve-racking experience and this remake is certainly no exception. Players may feel overwhelmed when they’re surrounded by the undead and start missing their shots or become indecisive on which enemy to kill first.
The most important thing to do in a situation like this one is to take a deep breath and quickly asses the surroundings of the character. This seems like a basic tip but staying calm and collected is important if a player wants to become a sharpshooter that even Nemesis fears!
6 Pick Up The Shotgun Early
The Shotgun in the RE3 remake is very powerful and players will not want to wait to pick up this powerhouse of a weapon. It can one-shot most zombies and although ammo is somewhat rare compared to handgun rounds, players will still get a lot of use out of it.
It can be found at the Kite Bros. Railway station and it requires bolt cutters to be able to access. With this weapon Jill will shoot through every undead foe with ease and getting this early will make the player very overpowered, at least at the beginning of the game.
5 Play On Assisted Mode
Some players require a difficult challenge to stay engaged in a game but some players just want a relaxing ride where nothing can stand in their path! The assisted mode is more than just an easy mode because along with less durable enemies it also adds health recovery when the player has low health, aim assist, starting the game with an assault rifle and more ammo when crafting with gun powder.
All of these updates make the player an absolute tank with reserves of ammo. The assault rifle will make playing the game a breeze during the first half. Players should definitely consider playing on this mode if they prefer a more fun laid back experience.
4 Pick Up The Grenade Launcher
The Grenade Launcher is one of the most powerful ways to destroy zombies in the RE3 remake. It has many different varieties of grenade ammo and it is easy to miss when in the sewers. If the gun is not picked up initially then the player will have a chance to grab it after they get off the broken subway train when it derails.
During the first real fight with Nemesis the player can use this weapon to blast right through him and although the fight can be completed without it it’s just not worth it when it requires so little work to obtain it in the sewers. Make sure to pick this launcher up early!
3 Pick Up Grenades
Grenades are somewhat rare in the RE3 remake however it is for good reason because the explosive weapon packs a mighty punch! They explode anything in a radius like most grenades but they are most useful while dealing with a horde of the undead.
There is also a secondary type of grenade in the game, the flash grenade. Grenades are crucial in tight spaces where there are too many zombies to fight with a gun at once and players will want to make sure to save these explosives for the most deadly situations that they can’t find any other way out of.
2 Get the Semi-Auto Barrel For The Shotgun
While Jill is exploring Gun Shop Kendo she will come across an upgrade for her shotgun called the Semi-Auto Barrel. It will allow for faster shots and it makes her shotgun much more powerful. It is found on a shelf to the left when entering the store.
Kendo is inside and he does converse with Jill and he doesn’t seem to mind her taking the modification. It doesn’t really matter to him, his life is more important than a tiny gun mod. Players will definitely want to get this upgrade since it’s so powerful and easy to obtain. The player will have to pass through this shop anyway so make sure to pick it up!
1 Dual Magazine For The Assault Rifle
This is perhaps one of the easiest to pass by and overpowered items in the entire game. Carlos is always having to reload his pesky assault rifle so obtaining this upgrade is a dream come true for him. The Dual Magazine allows for the player to have two ammo cartridges inside of their assault rifle at one time, effectively allowing them to shoot 64 bullets without reloading.
Carlos can find this safe inside the Nurses’ Station room and it is very easy to miss altogether because players are on an urgent task during the hospital segment of the game. The combination for the lock is 9 right, 3 left.
