Despite Capcom releasing remakes of Resident Evil games like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, some of the company’s other series like Dino Crisis have been given the cold shoulder. A recent mod for Resident Evil 3 Remake aims to change this injustice.

Known as Dino Evil 3, the mod turns all zombies within Resident Evil 3 Remake into dinosaurs, while transforming Jill Valentine into the protagonist of Dino Crisis. Aside from turning the zombies into dinosaurs, the dinosaurs themselves are given unique animations in order to make them feel like actual dinosaurs and not just cosmetic skins for the zombies.

As the mod is fairly new, there are a few complications that prevent it from being as smooth as it needs to be. For example, there is only one type of dinosaur in the mod (a miniature tyrannosaurus). Second, since Resident Evil 3 Remake never planned on having any dinosaurs in it, some of the dinosaurs might get stuck in various rooms and/ or narrow hallways and corridors. As such, those wishing to give the mod a try will have to keep that in mind.

As previously stated, the mod is recent which means that most likely, more dinosaurs will be added to it in the future. Dinosaurs that are small enough to navigate tight corners and not get stuck in rooms will most likely be implemented into Dino Evil 3, which in return will give players proper situations when having to deal with them. Additionally, any bugs and glitches that Dino Evil 3 creates will be ironed out and will ultimately provide players with a more smooth Dino Crisis x Resident Evil 3 Remake experience.

The Dino Evil 3 mod is just the latest mod to join others that aim at making the game feel and play differently. For example, as soon as Resident Evil 3 Remake released, a mod that replaces Nemesis with Thomas the Tank Engine was released rather quickly. Even before the full game came out, there was a mod that replaced every single zombie in the demo with Nemesis.
