Although much of the Resident Evil 3 remake remains true to the original game, the ending has seen a total overhaul. There are some new puzzles to solve in the creation of a special vaccine for the T-Virus. After Carlos finds a single vial of the vaccine to save Jill in the hospital, Jill then ventures into NEST 2 to find another so that it can be reproduced and, hopefully, prevent Raccoon City from getting bombed.
If already there, solving the Lab puzzle is extremely easy, and players simply need to adjust the three gauges to reach 50% across the board. To do so, set the left to Mid, the center to High, and the right to Low. This will activate the machine and allow Jill to remove the Vaccine.
For players who have not reached the Lap yet, they are likely to begin in the Safe Room located after the Sterilization room. This is a good place to have saved progress since there are some items to pick up, along with the NEST 2 Map for reference in order to get to the Lab. Head from Storage to the second-floor hallway, and after picking up the ammunition lying around, grab the Override Key.
Back down the stairs, which should be littered with zombies, head to Lab 1 and collect the Antigen Sample. From here, head to the Incubation Lab, carefully watching for zombie researchers along the way, which are in no short supply. On the second floor of this Lab, Jill can search the drawer on the wall for the necessary Adjuvant Sample.
From here, players should backtrack all the way to Storage in order to access the Lab where the Vaccine is made. Be prepared when you enter the B1 walkway, as four tubes will burst open and Jill will be swarmed with Hunter Betas. The door ahead will lock shut until they’ve been dealt with. A couple well placed Magnum shots to their heads will take them all down.
Once the Vaccine has been prepared, it’s time to go face Nemesis once more!
