As was speculated for weeks, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed a number of casting details about the upcoming Shang-Chi­ film, including the main villain with the Mandarin making his second appearance in the MCU, but this time not by a drugged-out fake portrayed by Sir Ben Kingsley. Tony Leung will be taking on the role as the real Mandarin. Rumors persisted that the Mandarin would be the main antagonist of the film, but this was also doubted by many because of the use of the character’s name in Ironman 3, even though it was part of a larger deception in the later part of the story....

For months, rumors have been swirling that the dormant Silent Hill survival-horror franchise would be coming back with a reboot on the PlayStation 5. First fans believed that the game would be shown at the PS5 reveal event this past summer, then they expected it to be present at the event where Sony announced the PS5’s price and release date. Unfortunately, the rumored Silent Hill PS5 reboot was a no-show at both, with the fans’ next hope, and the last for 2020, being The Game Awards....

Skater XL has announced that it will be integrating content modded by the community into the game this December. This big change comes during the holiday season, and will no doubt see Skater fans opening their presents and diving into the Skater world to grind new rails and rock new custom boards and skins. Indie game developer Easy Day Studios, the creators of Skater XL, have officially announced the integration of community mod content into the game next month....

Ubisoft’s upcoming adventure, Skull and Bones is a game based on the golden age of piracy. It tasks the player with sailing the Indian Ocean with friends to get the most exotic loot and plunder available. While there isn’t much known about the game’s new direction after its delay, there is still some information that curious fans seem to have dug out from the internet. Skull and Bones’ feature list has a seemingly unique gameplay mechanic called Fortunes, which are specific information about the area’s status, such as the threat level and quality of loot available....

Snowrunner’s early success isn’t slowing down Mad Dog Games. After surpassing one million active users in just over a month, the creators of the wildly popular off-road trucking simulator are releasing a free “Rift” update that introduces new maps, contracts, and upgrades to the game. As described in a video promo released by Focus Home and Saber Interactive, “Rift” is a brand new map within the Taymr region. “Rift is a rocky canyon map with old mining villages and dangerous cliffs....

A missing person, a haunted forest, and a plot punctuated by hammy first-person narration. Is it The Park? Is it Blair Witch? No, it’s Someday You’ll Return, an indie psychological horror walking simulator developed by the relatively unknown CBE software. Though it’s near-sterling visuals and seemingly high production value betray its status as a passion project developed by a two-man team, the game’s issues are obvious. Endearing as small-time development can be, Someday You’ll Return simply doesn’t rise above the status quo of schlocky horror titles that are to Steam as questionable business decisions are to Bethesda....

A recent datamine unearthed evidence that Sonic will somehow make an appearance in Ninjala. Now, you’d be forgiven for feeling more than a little wary about Ninjala just now. It’s clear that Nintendo is throwing a fair amount of weight behind this curious competitive title from GungHo Online Entertainment, but is it going to make a substantial and lasting splash? We’ll have to wait and see if the gameplay’s up to snuff, and whether the game can overcome the stigma surrounding free-to-play titles....

With an upcoming PS5 Showcase event happening on Wednesday, September 16, fans have kicked their speculation into overdrive as to what PlayStation could be announcing. Many are expecting PlayStation to finally announce how much its console will cost as well as when they can expect to pre-order and play it. Well, the good news is, Resident Evil 7 is coming to Nintendo Switch. That’s going to please… well, a certain faction of Switch gamers. The bad news is, it’s only confirmed for Japan so far, and it’s also releasing in an air-quotes ‘releasing’ sort of way. Before we get into that, it’s worth addressing the fact that Resident Evil 7 was a curious one. It arrived in late January 2017, and was marketed as a return to form for the franchise....

After months of endless rumors and speculation, Capcom finally confirmed the development of Resident Evil 8 at Sony’s PlayStation 5 event today. As previously leaked by several sources online, the upcoming installment to the long-time survival horror franchise will adopt the official title Resident Evil 8: Village. The event also confirmed that Resident Evil 8 will be releasing sometime in 2021. Prior to the official announcement, rumors about Resident Evil 8 surfaced online almost every day....

This probably comes as little surprise for Capcom fans, but Resident Evil Village is selling. Like, a lot. In just four days, over 3 million copies have been sold in physical and digital formats, according to Capcom’s press release touting the game’s success to its investors. That beats out Resident Evil 3 Remake, which shipped 2 million units in five days, and Resident Evil 7, which shipped 2.5 million units in four days (according to VGC)....

Ridley Scott has directed several defining movie classics over his undeniably illustrious career, but a superhero movie is unlikely to grace his eclectic CV anytime soon. That’s because Scott has joined the small-but-potent chorus of prominent filmmakers who have drawn a line in the proverbial sand of superheroes and comic book movies. Yet, in articulating his gripe, Scott also redefines some of his genre classics as examples of “great” superhero movies....

Riot Games has teased the next VALORANT Episode once more, this time using a drawing of a dead clock, also seen in the “No Time” spray, in a recent blog post. While the blog post was mostly focused on the game’s battle passes, the post ends with a section titled “Episode 2 Teases.” A drawn clock with crossed-out eyes is all that’s included under the section, offering very little information on what may be in store for Episode II....

Roblox went public yesterday on the New York Stock Exchange and, in doing so, managed to topple the likes of EA and Ubisoft with a worth of $38 billion. EA is currently $37.43 billion, Take-Two, who owns Rockstar, sits at $18.98 billion, while Ubisoft is valued at $8.16 billion. Roblox’s is so high because, at the end of the day, the stock closed at $69.50. That’s a lot of numbers and a lot of dollars, but what’s more impressive is that, in January, the company was valued in the private market at $29....

Rockstar is known for creating games with some of the highest production values ever. While both the GTA and Red Dead Redemption series differ in quite a few meaningful ways, both series clearly have an absolutely humongous budget, and special care is taken in the look and feel of the final product. Rockstar has dabbled in a lot of different genres, usually mirroring that of films. One genre that Rockstar hasn’t done anything with thus far is sci-fi....

Bloodborne, From Software’s Lovecraftian successor to the Dark Souls series, is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but it could now be coming to PC, according to a new leak. Most of From Software’s other games are already available on PC, and it looks like Bloodborne will be getting all the benefits that typically come with a PC port. The entire Dark Souls trilogy and From Software’s newest game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, are already available on PC....

After years of petitions and fan demands, Capcom finally released a full-fledged remake of the survival-horror classic Resident Evil 2. Now Resident Evil fans are hoping to see a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis make its way to modern gaming consoles, and as it turns out, their dreams may soon become a reality. Twitter account EVIL VR, which leaked information on the Resident Evil 2 remake over the past year and claims to have inside sources at Capcom, says that Capcom plans on releasing the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake before it launches Resident Evil 8....

The good news first: XCOM, the long-awaited first-person shooter from 2K Marin isn’t being delayed again; well, not necessarily. While the shooter has had some problems getting to the finish line, the real-time strategy reboot XCOM: Enemy Unknown proved to be a financial and critical hit for the brand (not to mention one of last year’s best games). That kind of momentum might be assumed to work in XCOM’s favor, but according to rumors efforts are being made to differentiate the shooter from the RTS....
