With the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier finally enjoying its premiere on Disney Plus, many viewers are curious how the chemistry between co-stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will develop. The Yakuza franchise has a small but passionate fanbase in North America, and those fans should be glad to hear that Sega is teasing an announcement for May 24th, and it’s most likely related to Yakuza 5. Over at the official Yakuza site, construction work is being done. The site shows an animated image of construction workers working on the city of Kamurocho, while series star Kazuma Kiryu stands at the side....

Most players know just how wild the world of GTA is. Over-the-top gameplay with cars smashing into buildings and each other, seedy characters that you’re working for and against, and NPCs who are just going about their lives as the chaos and debauchery take place all around them. Everyone’s favorite comical green-skins are back on the field with the latest Snotling releases for Blood Bowl. “Whoa! Wait a minute, did I hear you right? Snotlings… Blood Bowl…”. Yes, you did. Snotlings have been a fan favorite for years amongst Games Workshop’s tabletop games Warhammer and Age of Sigmar games, but until now they have been relatively absent from Blood Bowl, save for the occasional use in ogre teams; after all, you can throw a Snotling further than you can a goblin....

I hate the console wars. Up until the most recent PS5 and Xbox Series X/S generation, I’ve only ever owned one console at a time. I started out with the PS1 - yes, I’m that young/old (please delete as applicable), then moved on to the PS2. However, the next generation had me jump ship to the Xbox 360. With the shift to online multiplayer, having the same console as your mates became the most important thing, so despite loving my first two PlayStations, I begged my parents for an Xbox 360....

Marvel’s Spider-Man was a huge hit for Insomniac Games on the PS4, and the is now considered one of the best adaptations of the New York webslinger in gaming, and one of the best designed superhero games of all time. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will follow the second Spider-Man and launches with the PS5. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is under a ton of pressure. Not only does the title have to launch a console as a PS5 exclusive in direct competition with the Xbox Series X this holiday season, but it has to follow up the first game’s success with a brand new protagonist and likely set up another story for Peter Parker in the future....

It was a big weekend for Sony PlayStation fans as the company held its annual PlayStation Experience event in Anaheim, California. Unlike previous years, the event this year was somewhat more lowkey, lacking the bombastic trailers and reveals fans have come to expect. Sony used the weekend as a celebration of sorts, showing previously seen footage, giving fans hands-on time with games, and hosting numerous panels for many exclusive games. Insomniac Games and Marvel were on hand as well to give fans a look behind the scenes of their anticipated game, Spider-Man....

Given the original game’s cult following and large speed-running presence, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated seems like a no-brainer. It sounds even more promising on paper, as this remaster even includes an all new multiplayer mode and content cut from the first game, and was heavily requested by fans. These requests were answered with the game’s announcement at E3 2019, but the game itself is less than an answer and more of an appeasement....

As all SpongeBob fans know, “‘F’ is for friends who do stuff together.” It will soon be time to put that statement to work in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, specifically speaking to the upcoming game’s multiplayer horde mode. It’s easy to see the similarities between Roblox and the gamer-centric novel Ready Player One, as both revolve around a virtual universe where people can hang out and play a wide variety of games. Driving the similarities home even further, the game/game-sharing platform has teamed up with author Ernest Cline to promote the book’s sequel, Ready Player Two, with a new in-game event.
