Third-person stealth shooter series Syphon Filter is one of the most beloved franchises in PlayStation history, first making its debut in 1999 and producing six games in total. The series hasn’t received a new entry since 2007’s Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, but after 10 years away from duty it seems that Sony could be about to bring the Syphon Filter franchise back. On November 8, 2017, Sony renewed the Syphon Filter trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office....

The official PlayStation trailer for the upcoming title Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was weirdly taken down by YouTube following a copyright claim a few days ago. It’s not clear when exactly the video was removed but the screenshot showing the removal began trending during the weekend, leaving fans confused - it’s not every day you see an official game get binned for such a reason. The claim apparently came from Gameloft, the French video game studio, but the trailer is back up and there’s been no explanation as to the exact reason behind the removal....

Not too long ago, Square Enix announced the decision to host a special video press conference at E3 2018 in June, despite the Japanese publisher and developer having taken a couple of prior years off from the big event. Now, just several weeks ahead of this year’s show, the company has officially filed a fresh trademark through the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for a project called Outriders. As of now, Square Enix has yet to publicly announce anything related to the trademark, but with the filing having been labeled under “game software” and “entertainment services,” there’s a high chance that Outriders is the official name of a game that the publisher and developer will be detailing at some point in the near future....

Thanks to Capcom’s Resident Evil, players don’t need ghosts to give them the scares. In fact, a room full of zombies with limited ammo prove just enough to frighten even the toughest of horror fans. Thankfully, Resident Evil 7 shows that Resident Evil still has its survival horror charm despite transitioning console generations. Moreover, its gruesome cast of zombies, monsters, and bosses prove terrifying enough to serve as the foil of the series’ protagonists....

Last month, Netflix made a surprising announcement when it revealed Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, an animated series set in the Resident Evil games universe. It’s worth noting that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is different from the other Resident Evil project at Netflix, which will be a live-action movie that appears to be loosely based on the video game franchise. At the moment, the exact plot of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is still unknown, but it has been confirmed that the animated series will star Resident Evil veterans, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield....

Deadpool and Free Guy star Ryan Reynolds sold his Aviation Gin brand to multinational beverage alcohol company Diageo. Under the terms of the agreement, the deal could be worth as much as $610 million depending on sales. Founded in 2006 by Christian Krogstad and Ryan Magarian, Aviation American Gin was sold to Davos Brands by the gin’s producer, House Spirits Distillery, in 2016. Reynolds purchased a stake in the brand from Davos in February 2018 and has been an active promoter of the brand ever since, even inserting the gin into a sequence from his 2010 thriller Buried....
