Mobile games sure do love royalty. Who hasn’t seen an ad or two for Kingdom Clash or Game of Sultans? Well, get ready for another monarchist mobile game, because Kingdomtopia: The Idle King is hitting iOS and the Google Play Store on September 8th. Kingdomtopia is produced by Joyseed Gametribe, also known as the developers of Rocky Rampage: Wreck ‘em Up, which is a runner following a tighty whitey-wearing hero who sprints through maps to reclaim his beloved Wonderpants....

The official Rocket League YouTube page uploads a new trailer for the latest car pack, which will feature a battle-car based on Batman’s iconic Batmobile. The trailer shows Bruce Wayne’s famous ride emerging onto the center of the Rocket League field before using its infamous jet-boost to score a goal into an empty net, dramatically drifting into position directly in front as the goal is converted. The Batmobile will be added to Rocket League via a new car pack as part of an advertising campaign for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the pack will also include three exclusive Antenna flags that will reference Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman, all from the aforementioned film....

The Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to leaks and speculation. In fact, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has seen its own fair share since it launched last year with fans learning about the free to play battle royale mode Warzone much earlier than Activision or Infinity Ward wanted. Call of Duty 2020 has also been the target of its own set of rumors, speculation, and leaks many of which indicate that fans will be going back to Vietnam....

Sam Neill’s been thinking a lot about the movies of the 90s. The occasion, of course, is his return to the world of thunder lizards for Jurassic World: Dominion, in which he reprises his role as Dr. Alan Grant, the palaeontologist he first played in 1993’s Jurassic Park. Acknowledged by all as a classic, Jurassic Park has spawned five sequels, two of which feature Neill’s Grant. But there’s another classic from the 90s, one that has much more of a cult status, that deserves more....

Although I have a studio where I do the majority of my gaming and writing, I also have a desk setup in my bedroom for when I need a change of scenery. The kicker is that my bedroom also happens to sit right above the garage, which means that even with the heat on, my room can get surprisingly chilly in the winter. Konami’s brief (and…odd) Silent Hill presentation included a few intriguing announcements and many more unanswered questions. Somewhere at the top of that list of unanswered questions is “Who is Ryukishi07?” At the end of their recent presentation, Konami aired the first trailer for Silent Hill f: a new Silent Hill game from Neobards Entertainment (the developers of Resident Evil Re:Verse). Unfortunately, the trailer did not give us much to go on....

The fanbase of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion truly is glorious. Some of them are banding together to give the rest of us possibly the best gift we could ever really hope for as Oblivion fans - a complete HD overhaul of the game, from top to bottom. It’s the kind of thing anyone who grew up playing a game from the ’90s or early 2000s would dream of. The answer to our prayers calls itself Skyblivion, and it’s actually far more than a straight HD overhaul of the original Oblivion from 2006....

Hundreds of quests and dungeons dot Skyrim’s open-world. From the lengthy Bleak-Falls Barrow to the deceptive Pinewatch, Skyrim is never short of unique locations to find. This holds true even today. Despite Skyrim’s age, there is still a shocking amount of dungeons that players haven’t explored. Due to their remote locations or lack of quests, some dungeons are rarely explored and thus underappreciated by the community. These can range from small forts to entire Dwemer dungeons that are hidden behind multiple cave systems....

Sony has confirmed that there is more to come from the Play at Home initiative and has confirmed that it will announce details soon. The news came at the end of a PlayStation Blog post detailing the addition of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Funimation to the Play at Home system. At the end of that blog post, it says “stay tuned, we’ll have another Play at Home update to share soon”....

Xbox boss Phil Spencer reveals via Twitter that gamers should ‘Never say never’ when it comes to Microsoft offering Xbox 360 backward compatibility on PC. Since its launch in November 2015, backward compatibility has been a resounding success for Xbox One. The opportunity for Xbox One gamers to play their favorite Xbox 360 games on their current-generation console has undoubtedly helped drive many 360 owners to upgrade their consoles. Now, PC gamers are hoping they can get in on the action....

Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference was filled with games, from previously revealed titles like South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Assassin’s Creed: Origins, to completely new games like Skull and Bones and Beyond Good & Evil 2. For many fans however, the lack of any news related to the dormant Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchise was a surprising turn of events. While it may not have been at the show this year, Ubisoft assures fans that the company hasn’t forgotten about the stealth-action series....

Square Enix has announced its collaboration with manufacturing company I-O Data to produce a Final Fantasy 14 SSD. The data storage device will go on sale in Japan on December 2, however pre-orders are now available via the Square Enix e-Store. The external SSD will deliver 500gb in size via the USB 3.2 Gen 1, and will set you back ¥11,880 ( approximately $115). The device retails a little higher than the standard SSD or 1TB device due to its licensing, but it will make a great companion for PC players....

The hype leading up to Resident Evil Village’s release has been bigger than most other Resident Evil titles. Longtime fans were intrigued by the seemingly dark turn Chris Redfield takes with him killing Mia in front of Ethan Winters, and it seems like the entire Internet and their grandmothers were frothing at the mouth over Lady Dimitrescu, the giant vampire lady with grey skin. The memes below reflect logical fallacies over the world’s obsession with the villain, as well as poking fun at other elements of the recent release....

Resident Evil 7 was a very welcomed game that presented a bio-terrorism story with a twist that made it fresh enough to make players curious without forgetting what Resident Evil is about. With that story, Capcom presented new characters, organizations, and villains. Resident Evil Village expands on the previous game’s lore and concept. It provides yet another familiar but new atmosphere with compelling new characters and a sinister story. Behind this story, we have a very fleshed-out villain with a comprehensive motivation....

The revival of NES and SNES era action platformer games recently has seen a steady flow of retro-inspired games that capture the style of the genre, while updating the experience to work for modern consoles. Shovel Knight is a prime example, but more recently, games like Cyber Shadow have figured out the formula of what makes action platformers fun, while adding modern touches. Now, the classic NES series Blaster Master is finishing off its reboot trilogy of games with, appropriately, Blaster Master Zero 3....

We would normally be just two days from the release of Returnal, Housemarque’s upcoming roguelike shooter, but like many things during the pandemic era, delays happen. Now we’ll be getting Returnal on April 30 after Housemarque gives the game a bit of extra polish. There is a variety of monsters that will attack the player in Risk Of Rain 2, and the player will need to take down a staggering amount of them over the course of a single playthrough. As a result, knowing which ones to look out for and how they fight is important to staying alive. Admittedly most non-boss monsters aren’t too difficult, especially when using artifacts. But there are some that can be troublesome if the player doesn’t deal with them immediately....

Rumors have been swirling for months that Konami is finally moving forward with a new Silent Hill video game, rumored to be a “soft reboot” of the franchise and set to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive thanks to special funding by Sony. After the abrupt cancellation of Silent Hills, fans of the classic survival-horror franchise have refrained from getting their hopes up, and while it’s still possible that the Silent Hill rumors are fake, we may learn more sooner rather than later....

What’s that, Sega? Shining Resonance Refrain, the first Shining series title in ten years, is on the way? Don’t mind if we do. For some time now, the word on the gaming grapevine was that Sega are working on rebooting one of their much-loved franchises from back in the day. With a backlog as wide and varied as Sega’s, the possibilities were endless for this. From arcade classics like Hang-On and After Burner to puzzling oddity ChuChu Rocket!...
