One of the most requested updates in the Sea of Thieves community right now is improvements to hit detection when firing guns. Sometimes you shoot an enemy, get the hit marker, but no damage registers. Of course, this is a complex online game where a lot of information is being sent to the server at once, but Rare said it had teams working on improving this back in 2019. It’s 2021 and hit detection in Sea of Thieves is still patchy....

Although Sea of Thieves has already received special treatment from Microsoft, it is continuing in the form of a new custom controller. Set to release on February 6, this impressive controller is dark purple with a light green splatter across it. In the center, there is a pirate skull; moreover, there is a compass etched around the left thumbstick and a single golden trigger. Microsoft appears to be going all out on this controller because it also comes with the following: Ferryman Clothing DLC for Sea of Thieves, 14 days of Xbox Live Gold, and 14 days of Xbox Game Pass....

Being a fan of Skyrim is often very confusing as the game goes from astounding to just completely baffling. Right now, Sons Of Anarchy is up there with Requiem For A Dream in scaring kids off drugs. Things go from bad to worse this week, and Clay proves why he is beyond redemption. To be fair, we’ve thought Clay was beyond redemption a couple of times before, particularly in the first couple of series, but he’s always come around. Whilst I always have faith in Kurt Sutter’s broken glass-sharp writing, I can’t help but feel that he’s written himself into a corner with some of the revelations this week, but hey, that’s probably what he wants us to think....

Sony has pushed the release date of its Monster Hunter movie until April 23, 2021. The film, based on the Capcom series of the same name, is a reteaming of Resident Evil franchise star Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson. Hopefully, Monster Hunter will be of better quality than the more recent Resident Evil movies, but that is a pretty low bar in and of itself. For those looking for a silver lining in all this, Anderson has said he is a long time fan of the series and has been trying to get the film made for ten years....

It’s happened to everyone at least once on Mortal Kombat 11’s online. Your opponent picks Sheeva, then proceeds to spam Dragon Drop for the whole match. If it hasn’t happened to you before, you were probably that Sheeva main. To the uninitiated, Dragon Drop is a move that launches Sheeva into the air, coming back down to ground pound the other player where they stand. While powerful (and irritating) moves are nothing new in Mortal Kombat 11, the issue with Dragon Drop is that the opponent only has about a second to dodge the attack....

Before a true sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man comes, a newcomer will take up the mantle in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Unveiled during the PS5 reveal event, Miles will finally get his chance as Spider-Man this fall when his game comes out along with the PS5. For one reason or another, it seems Peter Parker will be indisposed as the titular hero for the winter, meaning Miles will need to pick up the slack as the iconic Marvel hero....
