While Sony comes under fire for deciding to close down the PS3, Vita, and PSP stores later this year, Microsoft continues to make older games accessible to new players. While issues of game conservation are a hot topic at the moment, I’ve been struggling with keeping up with new games. I’ve been playing Outriders on my bog-standard PS4 with some friends, one on PS5 and the other on PC. While I’m generally loving the gameplay, I’ve encountered numerous issues that just aren’t a problem for those on higher-powered machines - it’s made me wonder if it’s time we stopped trying to make new games work on old consoles....
