It’s already released a handheld system that harkens back to the days of the Sega Game Gear that even uses a similar game cartridge system to load old games. And now we’re about to see a stationary home console that’ll use those same cartridges to play classic games on a modern TV. It’s called the Evercade VS, and it has quite a few improvements over the Evercade handheld....

Capcom is rumored to be actively working on both Marvel vs. Capcom 4 and Street Fighter 6, a new unreliable report claims. Professional fighting game player FChamp, who was recently banned from competition by Capcom, revealed the news in a recent livestream. Fchamp claims that he had friends in Capcom in past years and that those friends confirmed that both Marvel vs. Capcom 4 and Street Fighter 6 are in the works....

Samsung has apparently been deleting an ad that mocks Apple’s latest business practices. The advertisement in question made fun of Apple for not including a charging brick in its iPhone 12 packaging. The deleted content was in a Facebook post by Samsung Caribbean back in October. The post showed a picture of of a very simple charging brick. The caption that accompanied the photo said, “included with your Galaxy.” By removing the advertisement, Samsung has sparked rumors it’s about to follow the same formula as Apple and remove accessories from its packaging in upcoming phone models....

With Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice now over two years old at this point fans are waiting for any news regarding Elden Ring, the next release from critically-acclaimed video game developer FromSoftware. The game kept a lot of the design, feel, and mechanics that make their games special, but integrated them into a refreshing new world full of rich lore and a compelling narrative. Outside of the giant snakes and flaming demons the game also had plenty of regular enemies that challenged players in new and frustrating ways....

Historically each expansion for The Sims 4 comes with a large scale patch, often containing some free updates to the base game. The patch for Eco Lifestyle is no different but this time the updates are much larger than most players expected. While there was information about the firefighters and ladders, the patch also includes twelve new makeup styles from a collaboration with M.A.C. cosmetics. The free patch is now available to download and is available for all players except those running the legacy edition....

Actor and comedian Sinbad, known for projects like the Cosby Show spinoff A Different World to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Jingle All the Way, recently suffered a stroke according to his family. The family says he has just begun to recover from the incident. The statement gave no details on exactly when the stroke happened, only saying it was recent and that the beloved comedian was now recovering. “Sinbad is a light source of love and joy for many generations,” the family stated, “while he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon....

During Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 2017 today, the gaming giant announced its newest IP: Skull & Bones. The open-world naval title will pit players against fellow pirates as they seek to control and loot the dangerous waters of the Indian Ocean. As part of the announcement, Ubisoft shared a compelling trailer for Skull & Bones that shows how cut-throat the life of a pirate can be. While presenting the title, a Ubisoft representative described how the team at Ubisoft has been planning Skull & Bones since the success of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag’s naval combat....

Sony interactive Entertainment has shared details on how the company managed to source and create the PlayStation 5’s recyclable packaging. The consoles packaging used minimal plastic without affecting the overall aesthetics. “Over the last 50 years plastic use worldwide has increased around twentyfold, but recycling rates remain low at around 9%. This has contributed to increased pollution of the world’s oceans, a matter of growing urgent concern. Action is needed now to reverse course and protect endangered marine ecosystems,” said Kieren Mayers, Director of Environment and Technical Compliance at SIE in a blog post....

A new gameplay has dropped for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, shining a vulgar light on some of the details that fans can expect out of the game. Featuring just over eleven minutes of in-game footage, the IGN video (very NSFW!) delivers on all the vulgar language, animated boobs, and darkly clever writing that gamers have come to associate with both the television and video game series. Starting today, Splinter Cell protagonist Sam Fisher is joining the Rainbow Six Siege roster as a playable operator. While Fisher’s inclusion in the game is a welcome sight for many fans, others are unhappy that Ubisoft has not released a new Splinter Cell game in years, prompting several users on Twitter to share memes to express their dissatisfaction.
