A survival horror game is described as a title where the player has to deal with a terrifying scenario - where they have to defend themselves against something that wants them dead at all costs, and they typically have little means to do so. But some would argue that true survival horror has disappeared in recent years, that it’s less about surviving and more about just how many monsters one can shoot in a certain period of time....

In the world of AAA gaming, developers have to do something really unique to make a military shooter stand out in the overcrowded genre. This time around CI Games is attempting to step up the quality and scope with Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 and use an open-world and an increased budget to help the single-player game stand up against the Ghost Recon’s and Call of Duty’s of the world. Although the new installment in the franchise manages to take some big steps forward, it still doesn’t quite have what it takes to stand up next to some of the big guns of the genre....

Solo: A Star Wars Story is an upcoming Star Wars film directed by Ron Howard. Fans will be able to follow Han Solo through an all-new adventure as he meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the famed gambler Lando Calrissian. Han will be involved in various daring escapades as he traverses a dangerous criminal underworld and uses the knowledge he possesses as a smuggler to make it out the other side alive....

Sonic Forces has added a “Sanic T-shirt” as a piece of apparel, possibly making Sanic a recognizable part of the Sonic Universe. At least, Sega has acknowledged Sanic’s existence and given its fans a bone in the form of this DLC. For those unfamiliar with this internet meme, Sanic the Hedgehog became popular in 2010 when a YouTuber uploaded a video titled “How 2 Draw Sanic Hedgehog.” Although the official video has since been removed, Sanic has remained a piece of meme culture, manifesting itself in various memes, pictures, videos, and now, Sonic Forces....

During The Game Awards, Bandai Namco surprised audiences with a special announcement. The long-stagnant SoulCalibur franchise is receiving a new release, SoulCalibur VI. The SoulCalibur VI trailer highlights some of the fighters that will presumably be available in the finished game. Sophitia, Mitsurugi, and what appears to be Siegfried are all briefly seen in the title, which is an interesting return, since Sophitia was absent and deceased in the last main series entry, SoulCalibur V, which released back in 2012....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on launch day for PS5 in both physical and digital formats. For collectors, however, the recently revealed slip cover for the physical version might be a good reason to forgo the convenience of digital downloads. As PS5 consoles and games start making their way into customers’ homes, some players have taken to Twitter to show off their new toys. One such tweet showed off the beautiful of Miles Morales’ reversible slip cover, featuring a comic book styled Spider-Man on one side, and Morales without his mask on the back....

Resident Evil Village‘s full sales figures are not available quite yet, but a statement released by Capcom makes it clear that the game is already on pace to set franchise records. “Capcom Co., Ltd. Could it really be true? A Swedish retailer called Init has a listing up for the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch with a June 19th 2020 release date. Rumor and leaks have been floating around about a Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch for years. In fact, according to former Game Informer editor Imran Khan, work on the collection is long since completed. In January he tweeted that it was complete and just waiting for a release date....

The State of California is investigating League of Legends creator Riot Games over allegations of workplace gender discrimination.
