After an amazing early access release and a single delay, Risk of Rain 2 has reached its version 1.0 milestone. Developers Hopoo Games and PlayEveryWare have plugged in some exciting new content that will please newcomers and veteran players alike. Like its predecessor, Risk of Rain 2 is a roguelike shooter that sees players navigating randomly generated levels while blasting through waves of increasingly difficult enemies. But unlike the first Risk of Rain, the sequel features full, 3D environments as opposed to 2D platforming....

Riverdale Season 6 Episode 4 “Happy sad endings are the best.” While the eagerly awaited appearance of now twentysomething witch Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka, immediately re-inhabiting her iconic role with warmth and confidence) got all the pre-air hype, the fourth installment of Riverdale‘s “Rivervale” experiment is really Madelaine Petsch’s tour de force. Portraying not only Cheryl, but her ancestors Poppy and Abigail, Petsch delivers a nuanced performance — well, three of them — that shed new light on the tragedy suffered by the Blossom women across the generations....

Understandably, fans and even casual bystanders are often curious about an actor’s decision to leave what is often depicted as a highly glamorous job, but in actuality is a (well-compensated) very difficult one. Before Akira Toriyama decided to continue the Dragon Ball franchise himself with well-received Dragon Ball Super, a non-canon Dragon Ball Z sequel anime was produced called Dragon Ball GT. Dragon Ball GT was met with mixed reception from fans, as it made the controversial decision to revert Goku back into a child. While Dragon Ball GT’s Kid Goku has never been the franchise’s most popular character, it seems as though he is going to enjoy a comeback as DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ....

According to a new report, Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 is currently in development at NetherRealm Studios, and is aiming for a March 2017 release window. 2015 was quite a big year for NetherRealm Studios, as the developer managed to defy expectations by releasing the mega-successful Mortal Kombat X. With the critical and commercial success of one Mortal Kombat title under its belt, it wouldn’t have been a big surprise for NetherRealm’s next game to be another Mortal Kombat entry....

At this point, there’s really no denying that Cyberpunk 2077 is alright on PC, but an awful mess everywhere else. The PS4 version has been described as a bad Switch port, with bugs, glitches, and an overall presentation that looks half-finished at best. SNK Global announced this morning that Samurai Shodown would be getting a new free DLC fighter soon. Hailing from Tencent’s Honor of Kings series, the company teased a silhouette of the fighter on Twitter and asked fans if they could name the character. I have no idea what Honor of Kings is, but that at least sounds more thematically appropriate than For Honor’s Warden. A quick Google search tells me it is a MOBA series developed for mobile devices in the Chinese market, which sounds about right....

It’s 1999 and Cartoon Network executives have three different Scooby-Doo marathons planned for the month of October. It’s Halloween season, and the network wants to cash in on their ‘spookiest’ show by re-broadcasting every episode of this fan-favorite series. The problem is that they need something to help promote these marathons, and they need it to be cheap. Do they do a behind-the-scenes look at how an episode of Scooby-Doo is made?...

Now that we know the Falcon and the Winter Solider series will be debuting on Disney+ in fall 2020, fans are already speculating about what we might see. Sega has finally revealed its full lineup of games to launch with the upcoming Sega Genesis Mini, bringing the total number to 42. Singer and actress Selena Gomez is suing a Chinese game developer for using her likeness without permission. While there are several licensed celebrity mobile games, like the incredibly popular Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, this is one game that Gomez didn’t sign up to be in. In Gomez’ lawsuit, she asks for $10 million from Guangzhou Feidong Software Technology Co. and MutantBox Interactive Limited, the companies behind the mobile game Clothes Forever — Styling Game....

Indie studio Sloclap, also behind the hand-to-hand combat game Absolver, announced its next game Sifu, at Sony’s State of Play event. Whereas Absolver is an online multiplayer game, Sloclap is trying its hands at a single-player campaign with Sifu, though both feature enticing hand-to-hand and martial arts combat. From the French development studio and backed by the indie gaming fund Kowloon Nights, Sifu moves players away from the Adal Empire in Absolver and to China where the art of kung fu originates....

Not too long ago, Silent Hill 2 fans discovered how to unlock a hidden mini-map function and the ability to save the game everywhere after nearly seventeen years of the title being on the market, proving that the horror release still has plenty of dedicated players revisiting the 2001 classic. As the main antagonist of The Elder Scrolls Online, Molag Bal has received a lot more attention recently than they have in the past, though they are one of the more prevalent Daedric Princes in the series due to their link with the vampires. Taking the form of some sort of demon, Molag Bal is easily one of the more terrifying Daedra players can encounter. Although his position as the Lord of Domination is fairly well known throughout the series, there are aspects to his character that aren’t as well known to fans of the series, particularly those who have only played the more recent entries in the Elder Scrolls....

Nothing is quite as fun and exciting in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim than leveling up and unlocking more powerful perks in the game’s flexible perk tree system.
