Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is not meant to be a Soulsborne game, according to series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. The new game coming out of From Software, which was teased during the most recent Game Awards and revealed during E3 2018, will stand on its own. The news comes from an interview with GameSpot, where Miyazaki talked somewhat at length about Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and its relationship to the previous games in the Soulsborne franchise....

A number of Nintendo prototypes have leaked online over the past two years, which has included betas of old Pokemon games. The Space World ‘97 version of Pokemon Gold & Silver was the first, and it featured a number of unused designs from Gen 2....

As one of the bestial races in Tamriel, the feline Khajiit is one of the more interesting races to play as in Skyrim. Aside from their natural proclivity for stealth, thievery, and assassination, they have one of the strongest melee attacks in the game at level 1, as their claws have a base damage of 16, significantly higher than even the Argonian’s clawed strike. While the Khajiit are interesting, aspects of their race also don’t make a whole lot of sense, even with the player’s disbelief completely suspended to make some leeway for the fantasy setting of the series....
There are 3 important bars to consider when playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - the red health bar, the blue magicka bar, and the green stamina bar. Depending on the Dragonborn’s desired playthrough build, the importance of these colored meters will vary. For warriors and rogues, stamina is the most crucial for offense, as this bar dictates how many physical attacks and power attacks the player can make as well as how much they can sprint and a few other factors....
Back in May publisher ZeniMax Media, parent company to The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim developer Bethesda, filed a trademark for the term “Hearth Fire” in very much a similar fashion to their trademarking of the term Dawnguard, and we all know how the latter turned out. Since then not much mention has been made in regards to post-Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim, although more expansions are in the works. Operating within the world of The Elder Scrolls and Skyrim, it can be inferred that Hearth Fire - if it were to be the next Skyrim DLC - would release some time in September, or it could center around the idea of conjuration or magic....
Sega has officially announced the Sonic Central broadcast for this Thursday, providing a first look at new projects and partnerships currently in development. Sonic Central — no, not the popular YouTube channel of the same name — will provide fans of the Blue Blur with some massive announcements and events to commemorate Sonic’s 30th anniversary. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will take advantage of all of the same PlayStation 5 features as Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This means that along with having better graphics, the game will also have an optional Performance Mode, which will allow players to crank up its fps from 30 frames to 60. The public got to see the Performance Mode in action with the Spider-Man: Miles Morales demo trailer that took place during the September 2020 PS5 showcase, and now, as of today, they get to see it applied to the upcoming Spider-Man remaster....
After Beenox’s last Spider-Man game, Edge of Time, left something to be desired, gamers have been chomping at the bit to see how the developer plans to correct those mistakes. While part of the problem might have been a shortened development cycle, Beenox is at it again with The Amazing Spider-Man, a new game based on this summer’s forthcoming film. Yesterday was a rough day for PC gamers struggling with their humanity, and augmentations, at a local GameStop. With the morning’s breaking news that GameStop management had ordered employees to open retail versions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and remove the bonus OnLive code that would grant purchasers an additional copy of the game, things didn’t look good for the mega retailer. Things got worse as management came back and said to remove all PC copies of Human Revolution from the shelves....

Now, a new study reveals it’s actually the hardest video game puzzle of all time so far. Some can breeze through it no problem, while others are stuck for literally hours trying to solve it. The study by OnBy shows that, on average, the Water Temple takes most people three hours to complete....
Debuting in 1996’s Resident Evil as a STARS commanding officer before being revealed as a double agent aligned with the Umbrella Corporation, Albert Wesker has taken players on quite a journey throughout Capcom’s franchise. After playing secondary roles in Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and Resident Evil 4, Wesker finally got his moment to shine as the main villain in 2009’s Resident Evil 5. Dressed in his trademark sunglasses and, in the later games, coat, Wesker is simultaneously really cool and incredibly cheesy; however, whenever he appears in a game, he tends to be one of its highlights....
Early on following the announcement that the Resident Evil 2 remake was on the way, fans started to wonder if the game’s various extra modes and easter eggs would reach the remake. Capcom delivered, bringing back iconic additions like the playable block of Tofu and a nod to Brad Vickers, but that’s not all. Rebecca Chambers also makes an appearance in the form of a hidden photo, just like in the original game, providing the player knows how to find it....
Sturm is one of the trickier fights in Resident Evil 8 Village. This monster with a giant propeller engine for a head and torso is vicious, just like many of the other creatures in the Factory area. Though Sturm does have a specific weakpoint, and you can take the beast down, with the right strategy. Sturm presents a tough fight, but only really because how you can take the creature down is a true mystery as you begin the game....
Coinciding with the almost universally-underwhelming season one battle pass, Respawn Entertainment has further upset its community by patching out a notorious camping spot in one of Apex Legends’ bunkers. That may normally sound like a positive thing, but, if recent communal feedback is anything to go by, fans aren’t all that pleased by the revision. The exploit was primarily used by Caustic mains to ensnare some unaware, low-level prey in one of the bunker’s many small rooms....
