Rocket League has certainly managed to stay in the spotlight since its release almost two months ago, taking advantage of all the attention to continue a steady growth in users. The soccer (or football, to the rest of the world) game features players driving rocket-powered vehicles in a sports arena, and actually manages to produce some intense and wacky team-based gameplay. Those who give Rocket League a try seem to enjoy it, and if the countless YouTube videos are any indication, the game has become an instant classic among fans....

Eidos Montreal is reportedly working on a Guardians of the Galaxy video game, in addition to the previously announced project currently in development at Telltale. In 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to a movie directed by James Gunn. Just over a week after Mixer streamer and influencer Shroud declared that Call of Duty: Warzone was better than Apex Legends, the ex-pro gamer has apparently changed his mind. Shroud’s now proclaiming that Call of Duty: Warzone is too “casual” and that he may, in fact, be done with the game. We don’t know much about Sonic Team’s mystery project, but the studio is hoping the game “lays the foundations” for future titles. In an exclusive interview with fansite Sonic Stadium, Sonic Team leader Takashi Iizuka compared the team’s new game releasing next year to Sonic Adventure, explaining that it will hopefully “lay the foundation” for the future of the franchise just like Sonic Adventure did on the Dreamcast: “Sonic Adventure laid the foundation for 20 years of Sonic titles after its release, so in the same way I really hope that this new title releasing in 2022 lays the foundation for the following future Sonic titles – that is the idea behind the challenge for the team....

About a month ago, we discovered Pepsi would be running a promotion in conjunction with Microsoft that would offer an Xbox One console every two minutes for several months. At the time, the contest was more of an eye-catcher because it pointed towards the Xbox One’s release date, but now it is building steam with its promise of a never ending stream of Xbox Ones. Not to be outdone, Sony has just unveiled a partnership with Taco Bell that promises a shiny new PS4 console every 15 minutes....

The PS5 launch was nothing if not tumultuous, as many fans are still struggling to get their hands one one. Because of this, it may feel as though there were only a handful of PS5s shipped out for sale during 2020, but in reality the console is selling incredibly well.
