When looking at it on the surface, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is another adventurous animated tween-to-teen cartoon with quirky characters in a wacky world. And, on the surface, that is true. But, much like the full identity of its titular protagonist, the show has layers that enable it to bring up more complicated but meaningful ideas to its potentially younger demographic. By the time season 2 is nearing its end, it starts bringing some lofty themes to the table about how people come together, break apart, and co-exist....

Skully is a physics-based puzzle platformer from developer Finish Line Games, and according to Lead Designer Jason Canam it was built with the intention of making platforming a two-step process: Clearing gaps in a 3D space, and then managing the landing once its spherical main character hits the ground with momentum. In practice, this unique design is appealing and works well within the themes of its world, but other mechanical elements somewhat overshadow the game’s crux....

Marriage is one of the more down-to-earth aspects of Skyrim, and offers a different way to engage with the universe. While it may seem unnecessary for the Dragonborn to get hitched, it can be one of the many reasons to play Skyrim....

The Netflix series Tiger King has shed light on the perplexing story of Joe Exotic and his big cat zoo, along with plenty of other interesting characters. Included in that list is Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist that some presume murdered her husband due to certain remarks she made on the show. Now, Saturday Night Live has made fun of Baskin. While self-quarantine has led to some pretty low-budget looking SNL skits, the newest episode embraces the current situation with a “Masterclass: Quarantine Edition,” Masterclass being a subscription service many use to learn skills from home....

In a traditional match of Apex Legends, landing in a heavily congested area equates to a mad dash for loot. The first to grab a gun can usually finish off their opponent quickly, while RNG was not in their favor as they didn’t find one themselves. Apex Legends’ current takeover, Locked and Loaded, circumvents this. Unlike the traditional drop, Locked and Loaded matches start players with common equipment, a Mozambique, 2 shield cells, and 2 syringes, while making the loot pool all Rare or above....

As was confirmed by Nintendo’s most recent Direct and its muted reaction to The Legend of Zelda’s 35th anniversary, Breath of the Wild 2 is probably far from finished in terms of development. However, the long-awaited sequel can take its time as long as fans continue to make Breath of the Wild feel as fresh as it did four years ago. Though replayability isn’t something unique to Breath of the Wild and speedrunners are still breaking Majora’s Mask’s world record to this day, it’s the former’s open-world nature and the level of detail that developers managed to cram inside the game’s physics engine that allows gamers to consistently discover new ways to play, challenges and glitches in Breath of the Wild....

After last week’s chest puncturing final moments, it was clear that this week’s episode (part one of a two part finale) was really going to be something else. There were so many questions left unanswered. For example, is Clay dead? Will Jax kill Opie? Those questions are answered as soon as the episode starts. The answer to both is a resounding no. However, Clay has been wounded, perhaps even mortally. Jax also shoots Opie in the hand to stop him from finishing the job....

With the PS4’s release looming in the horizon, Sony presumably only has a few current-gen exclusives left before they turn their full attention to the next-gen. One of the most highly anticipated titles from among Sony’s exclusives is The Last of Us - Naughty Dog’s survival shooter/third person action game. For Sony fans, The Last of Us looks to be something pretty special, and if recent domain name registrations are any indication, Sony is hoping the title is big....

In the past several weeks, there have been several exciting casting announcements about the next Spider-man movie. In light of these announcements, digital artist Yadvender Singh Rana created a poster depicting a face-off between the film’s heroes and villain Doc Ock. Currently in production, the next Spider-man film will have Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker after the shock ending of Spider-man: Far From Home. Previous Spider-mans Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will also reportedly be making appearances in the film....

The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man 3 film (which will likely go by a different name when it actually hits theaters on December 17, 2021) is heavily rumored to be a “Spider-Verse” movie that will tie all the Spider-Man live-action movie franchises together. Now there is even more evidence that’s going to happen, as Alfred Molina is confirmed to be reprising his role as Otto Octavius, aka Doctor Octopus. Molina portrayed Doctor Octopus in the acclaimed Spider-Man 2 film from Sam Raimi....

The best April Fools’ pranks are the one with a lot of effort put into them, and this one delivers. A fan with a creative mind and a lot of time on their hands created a fake trailer for a Splatoon mobile game where the squids aren’t kids. That’s already prank material enough, but the trailer went all-in, showing off believable gameplay based on the ink-shooting formula. It seems so ridiculous that it could actually be a real Nintendo game....

Capcom announces that the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition will be available on the Wii U eShop in North America beginning Thursday, February 4th. Has Capcom released Resident Evil 4 on enough platforms? The answer to that question is apparently “no”, as the company has just released a trailer hyping the addition of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition to the Wii U eShop in North America. The trailer shows players what they can expect from the game, which originally released over a decade ago in 2005....

Since Resident Evil 7 fashions itself as a thematic reboot of the franchise, the game tries to downplay action as much as possible. Which isn’t to say that Resident Evil 7 doesn’t have its fair share of combat – it does – but that the game’s focus is intent on capturing what made Resident Evil such a compelling experience to begin with. At the same time, action has become a core part of Resident Evil, which is where Not A Hero comes in....

Developer Respawn Entertainment has sent out a ban wave against players who were caught abusing one of two exploits in Apex Legends. Each of the two bugs recently found in the game could be exploited to secure victories in ways that are underhanded and destroy the integrity of a competitive atmosphere, and it is great to see action taken on this front. The two exploits offered players distinct ways to gain an unfair edge over the competition....
