The NPD Group reveals the top 10 best-selling games for January 2017, which includes Resident Evil 7, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Battlefield 1, and more. With the switch to a first-person perspective, some considered Resident Evil 7 a risky proposition for Capcom. However, it appears as though Capcom’s gamble on its flagship survival-horror franchise paid off, as the NPD Group has revealed that Resident Evil 7 was the best-selling PS4 and Xbox One game last month, and the best-selling video game software overall for January 2017....

In recent years, survival horror has seen quite the return to form in a number of ways, from franchises both big and small. Survival horror games have simultaneously veered between heavy action elements and limited and vulnerable experiences. Indie developer Cellar Door Games has announced that it will be delaying the early access release of Rogue Legacy 2 by a few weeks. The PS5 reveal event was delayed by Sony because of work from home concerns, suggests a new rumor. Other reports have said that Sony will be holding a PS5 reveal event as soon as next week, but the company has not officially announced its plans. Is it possible that Nintendo could be rereleasing - what many consider to be the greatest game of all time - to the Nintendo Switch? Speculators online seem to believe so. Nintendo’s recent registration of the Ocarina of Time trademark in Australia and Europe has led internet detectives to believe we may see the critically-acclaimed action-adventure rereleased in 2021 on the Switch.
