One of the many reasons that fans are still engrossed by Grand Theft Auto 5 is the way that Rockstar has delivered a steady stream of content via GTA Online. The game launched more than eighteen months ago, but there’s been no shortage of updates since that time. Some content drops have been large — like the online Heists update that fans clamoured for over a period of several months — whereas others have been relatively minor....

BattleCry, the first solo project from Bethesda’s BattleCry Studios, is potentially canceled according to the LinkedIn Profile of a QA Analyst from the project. News regarding BattleCry has not been positive in recent years. The free-to-play online multiplayer action game, in development at BattleCry Studios as its debut title, never saw the launch of the beta announced during E3 2015, and since then there has been news of layoffs, a quality “evaluation” from publisher Bethesda, and eventually silence....

Step aside, Niantic. If circulating rumours are to be believed, Blizzard is bringing a Warcraft experience to mobile that’s going to take what Pokémon GO achieved one stage further. However you may feel about the rising popularity of mobile gaming (and that’s one heckola of a controversial topic right there), there’s one thing nobody can deny: it can be a money-spinner like no other. Take Fortnite on iOS, for instance, and the absurd $300 million it made in 200 days on the platform....

With full access to dozens of games for a fairly low monthly subscription, Xbox Game Pass is one of the best deals in gaming these days, but the service is not without some downsides. One of the biggest is the fact that several titles are eventually removed from Xbox Game Pass to make way for newer ones. Rumors regarding Capcom’s plans to release a new Resident Evil game in 2021 have grown over the past few months. Those rumors have grown into an incredible leak, with the 2021 title now reported to be Resident Evil 8. The game will be a first-person title like Resident Evil 7, but will be much more of a departure for the franchise than even RE7 was. As an example of this, the leaker has described one of Resident Evil 8’s gameplay sequences....

At the Microsoft E3 2019 press conference, the next From Software game was officially confirmed with the announcement of Elden Ring. While the reveal of Elden Ring was certainly met with a great deal of enthusiasm, some fans may have been surprised to not hear any news about Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice DLC during the expo. Indeed, many have been expecting post-launch content for Sekiro, but there is now indication that there is no Sekiro DLC currently in development....

That’s exactly what happened when a rumor claimed that Nintendo and Microsoft were teaming up for a big E3 surprise....

If you had your hopes set on seeing the new TimeSplitters, Dead Island, or Saints Row games at E3, you’d better manage your expectations. Deep Silver officially announced the list of projects that won’t be present at the show, so the fans wouldn’t be disappointed later. The announcement came straight from Deep Silver on Twitter, soon after Koch Primetime live stream was announced for Summer Game Fest on June 11. According to the company, the players shouldn’t expect such anticipated franchises as Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro, and TimeSplitters at the show or at any other E3 2021 event....

Skullgirls has been a staple in the fighting game community since its release in 2012. While the game is popular among its fanbase and is looking to add another character soon in the form of Annie, the fighting game is having some issues behind the scenes. Despite these problems, the developer Lab Zero Games is still attempting to continue its work on the game. Recently, several employees of Lab Zero Games quit the Skullgirls development team, citing that they were leaving due to sexual harassment allegations against the head developer, Mike Zaimont....

It was only a matter of time before the breathtaking Keanu Reeves found his way out of Cyberpunk 2077 and into other popular titles. And what’s a better fit than Fallout 4? Featuring a world that’s almost as buggy as Night City and the same oppressive vibes, Silverhand seems tailormade for the wasteland....

Many superhero fans were initially excited to hear that the PlayStation 5’s launch line-up would be receiving a remaster of the PlayStation 4’s exclusive Spider-Man via a digital release. But the title’s developer, Insomniac, made a quiet announcement that is proving to be a bombshell on Twitter. Marvel’s Spider-Man was received as one of the PS4’s best-received superhero titles, featuring a mix of puzzle solving, web-slinging, and crime-fighting. Now, fans are gearing up for the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which will be arriving on both the PS4 and PS5 this November....

Although the majority of anticipation surrounding the Spike Video Game Awards revolves around the high profile reveals that are set to punctuate the event, there are still elements of the pageantry of an awards show that keeps viewers engaged between those reveals. One part of that entertainment comes from the host of the event, who has just been announced by Spike today. Star Citizen missing roadmaps is nothing new, but the latest update on the game’s single-player story campaign, Squadron 42, seems to indicate that there’s no release window in sight. There has been a lot of buzz at E3 2019 about Square Enix remaking some of its classic games (most notably Final Fantasy VII and Seiken Densetsu 3), but there is still a lot of money to be made in porting the older Squaresoft and Enix titles to modern systems, which Square Enix might be doing in the future.
