Developer Tripwire Interactive has announced that its surprise 2020 hit Maneater will be receiving a DLC expansion this summer. Titled Maneater: Truth Quest, this new DLC pack will continue where the story of the original game left off and see the titular bull shark battling more humans to uncover the truth behind a conspiracy surrounding Port Clovis and the NWO. It continues to be a difficult year for the film and TV industry, with the latest company on the downturn being Sony Pictures. Despite the fact that Sony itself reported largely unchanged revenues, the Sony Pictures division fell to about $299 million dollars in Q2, a $67 million dollar loss when compared to an equivalent period last year. Capcom was recently hit with a huge ransomware cyberattack that leaked the personal data of its employees and also the roadmap for its upcoming games. The list also contained multiple new Resident Evil games that are currently in development, thereby confirming Capcom’s plans to make this an annual franchise. Gender harassment and discrimination is unfortunately not an uncommon occurrence in the gaming industry.
