Capcom announces that popular Japanese stage actress Reon Yuzuki is set to take the lead role in its upcoming musical adaptation of the Resident Evil franchise. Last year, Capcom announced plans for a stage musical based on the ferociously popular Resident Evil series. Now, after several months of pre-production, it seems that the project is starting to take shape ahead of its planned debut this fall. It’s been announced that Reon Yuzuki will take the lead role in the show, but it’s not yet clear who the talented Osaka-born actress will be portraying....

The reveal of Resident Evil Village‘s release date and gameplay brings us that much closer to another entry into one of the more complicated (and sometimes confusing) timelines in video game history. Granted, the Resident Evil timeline doesn’t stray too far from the release order of the games themselves, but subtle shifts in the storyline created by the occasional odd entry mean that it’s easy to lose track of how we got here....

It feels good to experience everything a game has to offer, and Resident Evil Village is no exception. Something about getting the platinum trophy or final achievement for a game really gets that dopamine flowing. That said, the definition of “completing a game 100%” differs from person to person. To some, it just means completing all the achievements or trophies. To others, it means completing every in-game challenge. And to the truly dedicated players out there, it means experiencing, collecting, and maxing out every single thing the game has to offer....

During a Tokyo Game Show presentation, Capcom producer Tsuyoshi Kanda noted that the team is looking into a way to bring Resident Evil Village to current-gen consoles as well as next-gen platforms. “While Resident Evil Village is being developed specifically for next-generation consoles and PC, we’re looking into delivering the experience on Xbox One and PS4 as well,” Kanda says. “We’re looking into it, but we can’t make any promises. However, we will do our best in creating a top-tier survival horror experience on current generation consoles....

Season 2 of Rocket League is now live, bringing with it a new Rocket Pass, Tournaments, and a music-themed set of features and unlockables. Since its inception in 1979, Nickelodeon has been forward thinking with its programming. Yet it took over 41 years for the network to go after the final frontier, a live action space travel show for kids. To make an ambitious show like that happen, they needed the right co-pilot, landing the director of Apollo 13, Ron Howard. Howard serves as executive producer for The Astronauts, a new live-action kids series coming to Nickelodeon on Nov....

For the first time in four years, MMORPG giant RuneScape has introduced a new skill: Archaeology, available for members and free-to-play users on desktop and RuneScape Mobile. The skill’s launch introduces new locations for players to explore, unique interactions with familiar NPCs, and most importantly, new types of acquirable loot! Archaeology, first announced at RuneFest 2019, centers around excavating five dig site locations for materials, artifacts, and relics. The first 20 levels of Archaeology are available for free-to-play users, including the introductory dig site, Kharid-Et, which is unlocked at level five Archaeology....

These days developers are trying to strike a balance between giving players a balanced and fun experience while at the same time challenging the hardcore fans. Though the natives of Skyrim might view magic as the weapon of milk drinkers, the land has plenty of opportunities and weapons for those who chose to pursue the arcane arts. There are many spells the Dragonborn can learn to incinerate their victims, but adding staves to the mix can help save on Magika costs and can help you deal more damage against higher-level foes. Many staves can be found while looting and pillaging dungeons and each staff offers its own unique ability....

Let’s be real, Skyrim isn’t perfect, but it gets pretty close. There are a ton of inconsistencies and logic gaps that keep the game from being a truly perfect RPG. Still, these lapses in the model are more endearing than game-breaking. And fixing any of them would leave the game not quite as good as before. For example, let’s say every merchant had unlimited gold and could buy anything from you at any time no matter the worth....

So far, players have only been shown a male main character in Sifu, the new martial-arts game from Absolver creators Sloclap. Now the studio has confirmed a gender selection option for Sifu, showing the female fighter in action for the first time. The developers revealed a female version of the game’s protagonist on Twitter. According to the team, the video was taken from the alpha-version of Sifu, and it’s a stage we’ve seen from the game in previous footage....

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is an upcoming tactical RPG that aims to recreate the Dungeons & Dragons experience, but as a single-player PC game. The developers, Tactical Adventures, hope to achieve this by faithfully recreating all three pillars of D&D – combat, exploration, and role play. They actually got the rights to use D&D 5e’s core rules, meaning players will see things like darkvision, dice-based ability checks, and alignments affect their quest....
