Respawn may have leaked a new upcoming Apex Legends weapon in a Reddit update posted this week. The studio’s community manager Jay Frechette highlighted some changes in the game, as well as some of Respawn’s plans to make further improvements. And, in the very first image on said post, Mirage is shown holding a weapon that hasn’t been seen in the game before. The weapon appears to be an assault rifle or machine gun but it also doesn’t resemble any of the weapons from the Titanfall series, which is where most of Apex’s weapons come from....

Players of the popular race cars-meets-soccer game Rocket League on Switch have noticed that last week’s update brought an unwanted change: the disappearance of split-screen multiplayer. Understandably, this is causing a lot of frustration among the player base, but they don’t need to worry, as Psyonix promises it is working on this Rocket League issue and is bringing a fix soon. Rocket League isn’t a terribly complex game, but tons of people enjoy playing soccer with cars or watching others play it on Twitch; it’s simple but fun....

While the development of spy game Agent was ultimately unproductive, with Agent’s trademark having been abandoned in November 2018, a story has emerged from its early development that saw the developers from Rockstar San Diego get caught up in an international incident of their own. Before the game was moved to Rockstar North, San Diego worked on an early version of it during the early 2000s. As per Game Informer’s Blake Hester, part of Agent was to take place in Cairo....

The VR apocalypse looms ever closer. While the Oculus Rift and Sony’s PlayStation VR headset have both said that early 2016 is when gamers will be needing to set their wallets aflame, HTC has remained steadfast regarding their plans to launch the Vive in 2015 – albeit in limited quantity. Not much is known about the origin of Kylo Ren, the antagonist of the most recent Star Wars film trilogy, but that’s about to change. In August, indie skateboarding sim Session made headlines. According to a tweet posted a few hours ago, the plot synopsis of the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 could very well have been leaked. Twitter user Rocks the Squirrel stumbled across the movie’s copyright details on the United States Copyright Office online catalog, which lists Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as currently under ‘Preregistration.’ According to this listing, production on the movie recently started, and the film is being directed by Jeff Fowler, starring Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Ben Schwartz, all of whom also starred in last year’s Sonic the Hedgehog movie....
